Hi everyone - was hoping someone might be able to help with some information - a friend of mine has one of Arlo's albums that she'd like for him to autograph - it's a birthday present for one of her friends that is turning 60 - does Arlo normally have meet & greet sessions before or after his shows? I see on his schedule that he's playing the Ridgefield Playhouse in CT on November 1, so it's completely possible that she could make that show given that she lives in CT. Or if you know of any other way to get something autographed, that would be helpful. I'd appreciate any info --

Yes, after a show is the best chance for an Arlograph. Ask at the Get Stuff table, they'll know.

Seems that would be the thing to do. Go to the show in Conn. get there early, and pretend you own the place.... meet and greets are after a show ( least that's been my experience ) so after the show, hang out, and see.....

If you live in Conn. you shouldn't be too far from the Church. That's a real easy place to get auto-graphs..... Never been to a Church show, where Arlo, didn't hang out for awhile, doing the auto-graph, listening to peoples storys, and tellin a few of his own.... But you should get that same opportunity in Conn. I would speculate....

arlo's a very patient, and generous artist when it comes to the fans. I've always got that vibe from him...... When AG doesn't do the hang around after the show is over, you can guess he's tired, and has places to be the next day...... I could be wrong, but from what i've noticed that seems to be his favorite part of a show. Meeting the fans afterwords...... He has a huge tolerance to people.... It comes off as very sincere, and I think that's just one more reason, I like him so much..... I don't think I coud be that tolerant.... Maybe tolerant is the wrong verb..... Arlo's a very intelligent person, and I find myself, wanting to tell him a story, but I get all jangled up and tougne twisted by the time, I make it thru the line. So I usually end up, saying something stupid, and he says, UH HUH.... and then I feel sorta lame.... Untill I realize, the people behind me, are even worse at exchanging words than I am..... Dan Rottenback (sp ck ) tole me one time at the Church, he started a club. & it was called, say something stupid to Arlo. Now I don't know if Dan was ribbing me or not, but it wouldn't surprize me if he wasn't telling the truth. In fact big Dan told me, he had even made up business cards to that effect. Say something stupid to Arlo....

So remember, just ask him to sign the thing.... keep it simple.... LOL

Just kidding, tell him anything that's on your mind.... I'm sure he will love hearing from you..... that's sweet, a autographed album for a 60th Birthday present. That's allot of sentimental value... Arlo signs allot of autographs. & some of them end up on e-bay..... but for the most part, I wonder if he actually realizes what they mean, to us hardcore fans....

Don't underestimate a blunderite AG.... We love you! That's a fact.

I've only been to a couple of his shows, but I've always gotten the vibe from him that he's "regular folk" just like everyone else in the room & that he probably enjoys hanging out & meeting people - so your reply has made me very happy indeed. Again, I'll pass the info along to my friend - I know it would mean a lot to her & the autograph recipient if she can get it done. Gave a BD card to the staff...
Asked if Arlo would sign it for my then wife.

He sang a Happy Birthday to Sandie{now one of many Xs} from the stage...
He came down and handed her the card...
After the show we hung out at "THE BUS"...
He also autographed the $$$ boots I had bought her for her B'Day.

Yup, he's "regular folk".

RB, Sherry's the one who told me about the "say something stupid to Arlo" club awhile back...

I had VIP tickets to the Chicago kickoff of the City of NO tour last year. Arlo MC'ed the show, sang House of the Rising Song to open the show and CONO to close, but due to a contract no compete clause for a show a few months later (I was second row at that one at Symphony Center and it was AMAZING) he couldn't play a whole set. After the show, my dad and I hit the meet-n-go-eat (as ADG reffers to them) with my CoNO tour poster. I got to talk to all the performers, and got it signed by my four favorites of the night: Cyril Neville, Sarah Lee, Kevn Kinney, and of course an ArloGraph. He's a wonderful man to talk to. He was very intent when listening, and was quite the gentleman. Definetly one of the best celebrity meetings I have ever had.
