Sorry I missed seeing you after the show at George Mason Univ. I went home right after the show because I had to be at work early the next day.
(When I got home and turned on the radio I heard that a wreck on the Beltway just inside MD after crossing over the American Legion Bridge was backing up traffic. That part of the beltway is a construction zone with a lot of the work going on overnight. Noticed when I drove through there that there was a lot of activity that was slowing traffic in the fast lane. The broadcast indicated that the accident happened around the construction area. Was happy I was ahead of that.)
Glad I got to see everybody before the show. During the show, I was sitting down near the front on the right side as you face the stage. It was the first time that I had seen David Grover and Terry a la berry play with Arlo. That was a real treat as well as hearing all the new songs as well as the old (Ridin' Down the Canyon, Slowboat, Mr D's Mr Tambourine Man, Patriot's Dream...).

To any other Oz Arlo fans out there....if you don't have the DVD yet, Alices is on Channel 7 early (1:50 AM) this Sun morn Oct 8th.
It has only been on TV here one or two other times.....as far as I know.

I was listening to WFUV FM (New York) on my ride home last night, and they were broadcasting a concert that was done by Josh Ritter this past sunday after he had just run the NYC marathon. DJ Corney O'Connell was acting as the MC and during his introduction of Mr. Ritter he said that he had wondered if this was a first, a singer performing after running a marathon. He explained that he did some research and discovered that Arlo Guthrie had done a show once right after a "Twilight Zone" marathon, and that Sting had done a show right after a tantric (sp?) sex marathon.
Frankly, I think he made it all up. Now if he said Arlo did a show right after a Star Trek marathon, he mighta had me...........

Any truth to these rumors adg? Or does Corney get a letter?

You can hear the Massacree Revisited on The Vault, and if you want the classic original, they're playing that on Radio Margaritaville after every Jimmy Buffet concert they play (hey! it could have been the KC and the Sunshine Band Station!!)

I'll have to check but I think I only have maybe three or four hours of different versions and most are fourtieth so they aren't that different, only one twentieth and a Rainbow Roach and a Alices Remembered and the thirtieth and the first version. I wonder where Sirius got twenty four hours of different versions.

Tues I had the radio on in the car while driving as usual. I was flipping dials to see what was on & tuned into CONO by Arlo being played on the radio. Turns out it was being played on thte Easy Listening channel in Goochland, County. 100.5 fm. That channel plays some good stuff but ya have to suffer thru some old peoples music like Sinatra etc to get to it tho. It was nice to hear him on the radio but weird that it was on an Easy Listening station...

Oh yeah, I know you guys probably hate Jerry Falwell lol but here some info you may be interested in that I got from this newspaper of his I get in the mail. In it was an ad for a movie on the song Amazing Grace. It looks like a good movie. I want to see it if it comes here. I bet Arlo'd like it...

Even easy listening people need a shot of energy once in a while.

This morning I was watching Don Imus on MSNBC, and he was going on about how Bush didn't mention New Orleans or Hurricane Katrina in his State of the Union speech the other night. Right when the break to commercial came, he played the folkslinger's "City of New Orleans" for quite a while. Wouldn't ADG make a great guest on Imus?
