Ha, ha, ha! Arlo pay for commercials? Come on, man! He don't have any money....he's a folk singer! (No offense there ADG!). He's so broke he has to make pancake syrup to supplement his income! Folk singers are notoriously low on dough! Look at Ol' Pete. Has to drive himself around and even pack up his equipment in his car himself (remember when he forgot his banjo on the trunk a couple of years ago and drove off? Thank goodness that guy found it and got it back to him!)

There was this folk singer living in town when I moved here (who shall remain nameless). Well sir, when I first met him we started talking about playing at bars and clubs and stuff.

I said to him, "I've been in a few bands and played out solo so I kind of know what's out there for gigs. Pardon my asking this but there ain't that big a market for folk music around here so, how the heck do you make a living at it?"

"Well," he says, "my wife's an attorney!"

Now this fella would go on the road with ol' Ramblin' Jack once in a while. And ol' Ramblin' Jack would stay at friends' houses, sleepin' on the couch if he had to.

So, you see, even the well known and famous folk singers don't make a lot of money, so they ain't a gonna blow a bunch of money making a couple of commercials aimed at one person. So, I'm thinking that it must have been somebody else. Maybe it was Johnny Cash. He had lots of money. Heck, even his bathroom had velvet-covered walls and an onyx sink.

Well I had been sending lots of stuff about these times, and some of it was about Arlo. None of it was about Johnny Cash. One of the commercials said #9 What you know now need never be revealed. So I won't go much further until Arlo answers. If it wasn't him it is no big deal, but would start me to look eslewhere for how the Song Someday would apply to me.
Good day

I think you should throw in some Klingonese for good measure, Larry.

Live long and prosper.

My cousin Jason the folksinger from what I understand has to rent a tourbus to use cuz it takes several for him & his backup band & the busses cost more than he could afford. He is lucky ot have had a few hits & a loyal fan base & a gold record for his song The Remedy. from what I've read folksingers make all their money from touring & not records as folks would rather see them live. They remind me of the gospel singer selling their records at a table after the shows...

Well what if that one person ended up to be the Prophit groaning alone at the end of Prolouge? Arlo surely knows somethings about how these days will play out. It will take a movement to change things, not someone flying out of the sky.
Good day all

I think it's more like "Jeopardy" on this thread, you give us an answer, and we'll give you a question, or vice versa. Please remember to give your answer in the form of a question, and in Klingonese unless you happen to have Chinese charectors on your keyboard.

ADG,
Did you put cmmercials on CMT back in Janurary of 97 and summer of 98 addressed to Number Nine? Somebody did and you are the only person I could think of at the times.
Also, why don't you try and get on Crossroads with Kathy Mattea? You bot have some very beautiful songs, and this land needs to hear them.
Leoburg-formaly number 9
