Tx much Capt! I appreciate all the concerns. I'm just glad to have my tolerance down to an ALL TIME low... Sleeping on a Jail bed, didn't do too many wonders, to my degenerative disc dissorder.... ( Man I'll tell you, I have a new respect for pain)( but I'm learning to enjoy a little physical pain, as it makes me feel alive)

As Cheryl suggested, I'm keeping it down to a dull roar...

My lawyer suggested taking the new addiction drugs.... Fortunately for me, I'm allergic to methadone... ( as fate would have it ) Reading John Lennon's memoirs, he was living a sorta hell, having to take the stuff just to get outta bed in the a.m.

ntm: I've always gone outta my way, to avoid, the heavier stuff....

** I believe everything happens for a reason.... I'm glad now, just a couple grains of Codeine kicks my butt!

2/3's of NY states County Jail pop, has something to do with Oxycotten... Way glad I've never tried the stuff....

& the way I see it, Cocaine went out in the 80's... So I got a head start on that one....

I DO APPRECIATE the concern....

Peace & Love/ Rob

Glad you're kickin' it on your own. Being on this end of another keyboard, it's kind of difficult to figure out what's going on at some body else's end. Point is, there's another resource available (or anybody else who "may be in a similar situation"....to quote ADG) should you (or anyone else) ever need it. From what I've heard from my Sweetie, this suboxone is a far cry from methadone.

sheesh! always inna rush, that front half!
give the guy a minute to kiss his wife, and kiss his house, and kiss his butt, lucky to be back safe and sound(?)

I'm sure rb didn't waste all those hours of solitary, since i can't account for the brain cell, i'm sure it was hard at work comin' up with a  plan!

Now my understanding is that we gotta take our time executing any such plan, so it might take until 2008 to get it fully into play... but i'm patient.

(glad your back rb! I think you're destined to write a great aughta-biography one day!)

Welcome back! :) Sounds like you had a rough time of it. Hope things go better for ya. I dunno why but the song 30 Days In The Hole is coming to mind. I think Humble Pie might've done it but not sure. Anyway more vibes setn & prayers just said for ya...

Yeah, Cherral, that old Humble Pie song was the first thing I thought of. Jail woulda been a cake walk, if the place wasn't over crowded. Getting sent to Plattsburg into my 4th day, ( being so close to Denemora ) had Ozzy Osboures or Black Sabbath's song 'Paranoid' rolling round my brain.

But a few good nights sleep, can do wonders for a person.... And I got assigned a new Probation officer, that won't hassle me if I wanna leave the state..... ( if only my Attorny wouldn't of taken all my $$$ ) But that's okay.... as Kurt says, I can do it!!!

And Arnie I did come up with a plan.... Major great plan!!! To help get the Republicans outta office.... :D

** I lost some of my rights, copping out to a Felony.....

*** Can't own or possess fire arms..... ( no problem as I quit shooting guns a long time ago) SO, I can't assasinate Bush... As much as I'd like to....

**** I lost my right to Vote! BUMMER..... ( the plan I came up with )

*5 ( the #5 plan ) The night everyone else is going to the polls, Sue and I are gonna find a car load of people that usually don't vote. And if we have pay them. ( a few cases of beer should do the trick) And have them vote for the person of MY choice.... I'm allready, on the ball, and gonna make sure these folks register to vote, in advance..... So my Vote, that I'm not supposed to have, will turn into 6-8 or 9 votes.

As my Grand-father told me. There's more than one way to skin a cat....

" Better days are coming. I hear it everywhere I go " ( Neil Young)

Piece out/ Rb

And Laura Lee is gonna suggest some good editors. So a outta biography just might be in the works. But as you ALL KNOW, Rob definately needs a good editor.... lol..... ( then I'll let them fight over the rights for the T. V. movie version )

I can understand losing your right to own a firearm... but what does the right to vote have to do with being in jail? Do people in jail suddenly become ignorant of the state of the country and its leaders? I never did understand that one.

Yeah, for some reason felons can't vote...but they can still run for office, can't they? I mean look at Marion Barry! Unfortunately, it's usually the really nasty jerks that do, not the good people who just happen to be doing the wrong thing at the wrong time in the wrong place.

Yeah, that is totally weird about not being able to vote. So is that permanent?

I like how you and Sue are going to help other people get to the polls and get registered rb!

Hey Rob. Thought you might enjoy this. I forgot who sent it to me....maybe I'm having a senior moment and found it on this forum and sent it to myself? It could (and has) happen(ed)!

Work Vs Prison
Just in case you ever get the two mixed up, this should make things a bit
more clear . .

IN PRISON...you spend the majority of your time in an 8X10 cell.
AT WORK... you spend the majority of your time in a 6X8cubicle.

IN PRISON...you get three meals a day.
AT WORK...you only get a break for one meal and you pay for it.

IN PRISON...you get time off for good behavior.
AT WORK...you get more work for good behavior

IN PRISON...the guard locks and unlocks all the doors for you.
AT WORK...you must carry around a security card and open all the doors for yourself.

IN PRISON...you can watch TV and play games.
AT WORK...you get fired for watching TV and playing games.

IN PRISON...you get your own toilet.
AT WORK...you have to share with some idiot who pees on the seat.

IN PRISON...they allow your family and friends to visit.
AT WORK...you can't even speak to your family.

IN PRISON...all expenses are paid by the taxpayers with no work required.
AT WORK...you get to pay all the expenses to go to work and then they deduct taxes from your salary to pay for prisoners.

IN PRISON...you spend most of your life inside bars wanting to get out.
AT WORK...you spend most of your time wanting to get out and go inside bars.

IN PRISON...you must deal with sadistic wardens.
AT WORK...they are called "supervisors".

aye: Capt. Zap: Yes, all of that is true. ( altho I've never been a State Prison before, County Jails are sorta the same)

e.p. 3 hots and a cot. the county is respcible for paying for your immediate needs....(e.p. medication, & healthcare.... They even do your laundry)

* #1. the foods sucks terribly..... They have commisary, where you can purchase food. A soup, that cost 10 cents on the outside, cost $.60 in Jail. ( talk about inflation )

**#2. You can get a job in County Jail. ( Trustee ) where the pay, is all the food you can eat...( trust me, that would take an aquired taste for bland, cold, slop.... e.p. I could only eat, when I was so hungry, I didn't have much choice.... And that old saying, "anything taste good when your hungry, goes out the window, in Jail... You eat to fill your emtpy stomach. ( unless you have an extraordinary immagination, and can make your mind think, that a baloney standwich, taste like Roast Beef)

*** You have phone priviledges, but one must call collect.. And your only allowed 4 people at at time, on your phone list..... (e.p. when I was transferred the 200 miles from my home town to Plattsburg, it was $5.00 a minute for the first minute, and 55 cents for each additional minute)

**** Recreation, was going into the wreck room, where you could play ping pong, for work out with weights...... With 40 inmates on my Pod, most of which were waiting to go Upstate ( or downstate ) State Prison, it wasn't like you'd wanna say, I have dibs on the Ping-Pong table.... LOL....

*** Medication in Clinton Co. was dipenced 3 X's a day..... And they DON'T allow controlled substances.... ( I was lucky, as the Jail Dr. approved my Klonopin, ( as I had medical records to prove I have been on the drug for almost a decade.... One can die suddenly, from benzodiazapine withdrawel..... The Dr. told me I was beat, on my Pain meds... Tyl #4's (2 tabs, every 4 hrs. ) I went thur the most wreched opiate withdrawels, of my lifetime.... ( I was actually glad I was Apsed ( aka: not classified, so 4 days of solitary confinement) on the 5th day, I was starting to feel human again..... Altho, the pschological dependancy took another 10 days. Each day got a lil better, but you could say I was in no mood for playing spades....

* On the OTC medication. One must file a Medical request form, in which 72 hrs. later you could see the Jail Dr.... They just give you 12 tablets of Advil, or 12 tablets of Tylenol..... I got 12 of each, in 6 days time. The first time, I was given a dozen tylenol, another inmate stole them outta my cell.... ( nothing to report... the guards don't like paper work, and the inmates would mabye kill a snitch, over a tylenol tablet )

( I felt so sorry for this young kid ( 22 yrs. old, addicted to Herion since he was 12) He suffered from Migraines, and by the time he's put in a med request, get his Advil 72 hrs. later, his headache would be gone.... ntm: he had to eat at least 8 Advill to even touch is migrains. He walked around for the most part, putting his hands on his temples, trying to relieve himself of the headaches) He's been waiting on a bed, for a inpatient rehab, for over 4 mnts... ( st. law. co. from where I'm from, wulda had this kid in re-hab, in less than 2 wks. ) Clinton Co. is an unusually cruel Jail...

* As far as the work goes, In Clinton Co. they rotate work detail.... I was lucky, as into my 5th day, I was chosen to sweep & mop, the entire Pod... It's 40 ft. wide, and over 100 ft. long..... All tho it was no big deal, it took me about an hr. and a half, to compete the task.... Then when I thought I was done, I was told to pick up all the tables.... ( dirty snot rags, food, inmates would throw on the floor, and missilaneous junk, inmates dissgard, when a newby is supposedly done with clean up)

** The C.O.'s were either very nice, or Hitler in training..... So from one shift change to the next, you didn't know, if you were gonna be treated farily, or totally harrassed for no apparent reason....

* The cells were 7'-12' with 10 ft. ceilings..... A toilet, and a sink, with hot and cold running water.... And they left the light on, from 7:30 - 10:30 lock-in.....You could ly on your bunk, during the day, but you couldn't cover up... ( and it was very cold in the facility, as they were still running the AC 24-7) ( Plattsburg has a brand new Jail, a $26,000,000 faciltiy) So it was kinda like being in a cheap motel ( Cheap Room ) without the comfortable beds, and no controll over the T.V... Which they don't shut off till Midnight.... ( If I ever listen to VH1 again, it will be too soon) I'm a very light sleeper, and noise wakes me up, or gives me the inability to sleep.... ntm: at 10:30 you here that loud clank ( 40 times ) of cell doors being locked..... And at 7 a.m. your awakened by that loud noise, of the 40 clinks, of the cell doors being opened.....

* I guess the only thing I liked, was they gave you all the coffee you wanted.... Kitchen Coffee... After Breakfast, the trustees, would leave a 5 gallon container, with all the unused coffee, on the Pod, till it was gone... ( Don't have that one luxery in St. Lawrence Co...

BUT I CAN DIG WHAT YOUR SAYING, Captian Zap.... I met, and witnessed, so many inmates in Jail, that actually really loved it there. It was home to them..... Most of them, institutionalized... Most of them have more time, spent in County Jails, or prisons, than either you or I have spent in high school. .... For the most part, they loved Jail, and hadn't even the slight worry, that they were headed upstate ( state or Federal Prison)... In fact most of them, couldn't wait to be transferred to Prison from County fast enough..... They would say, "man I can't wait to go to prison" At least you can smoke there!!!

I speculate that most of these people that love Jail, and don't have qualms about being sent to Prison for 7-12 yrs.... Are either latent homo-sexuals, or are in denial about being Gay??? Anyone that has no problem with being around the same sex, for yrs. and yrs. and yrs. Must be either institutionalized, or queer...???? Rbs opinon ONLY....

As I have lots of Gay friends, and my life wouldn't be as great, without them as true friends.... NONE of my Gay friends have ever been in Jail... ( that I know about ).... A statistic, that sorta proves, they get in less troulbe, than the average person.....

Tx for all the support.... & I can appercate what your saying.... Learn to love that 6x8 work cubicle, with all the consequences..... It's hard to believe,, but Inmates that are instutionalized, most likey wouldn't trade thier Jail Cells, for an honest days work...

Putting the wholde experience behind me.....

Maybe it's time, a moderator, closed this tread for good!

Not to take away the fact, that my wife Sue and I, love you all, and appreciate all the support you've given us.... We will NEVER forget you all...

And I'll be around....... Posting on Folkinger Spottings, or the Restaruant, ect... Or better yet, posting Blundervibes, for anyone and all, that needs them...... I'd like to generate good vibes, to people in need...... Time to pay back, some of that good old hospitality, that all of you here on arlonet, have shown me, during my bad times.

Thanks Capt. Zap for posting. And making me think. After all, reflecting on life's lil quagmires, can do a soul good!!!!

C U on down the road...

PEACE & Love
From: Rob and Sue

* Still maintaining a life, of a whole lot less drugs, and persuing and committed to a lifetime of Spiritual Persuit....
