Everyone is doing the myspace thing now. It used to be we could blame everything on Arlo... ( It's all Arlo's fault)

I think??? ( blast me If I''m wrong ) but Dave D. started up with the myspace. I would of never gotten involved but been so bored on house arrest, lets say I'd try anyting once. And in hindsight, it's improved my computer skills....

Now if Spark and Larry will add an image to they're profile, I won't be looking at them as if I didn't have my glasses on...

I signed up for the myspace thing just recently too. Don't have any picture yet. Hopefully this weekend I'll figure that out... and get a picture taken. And the great thing is I'm finding more people I know there! People I've been missin'. I was feelin' kind smart alecky toward the end of filling out the form. I mean _really_, people I'd like to meet. There are just too many to list them all and then if you forget someone their feelings might be hurt.

Took my mom to the art fair today. She had a great time. We sat and watched the people for a while, one of her favorite pass times, talked to the artists, learned a lot about raku. It was fun.

well, it couldn't have been more than a two minute story and seemed very generic. so if you missed it you didn't miss very much.
the first and only documentary i did see back in the 70s seemed to take full advantage of the obvious humor (the way it was filmed, the particular stories...)
well anyhow...

it was at an art fair in the early 80s that i first heard "woodstock" wind chimes,
i'm just walking along, la la la, and was sort of halted by a persistent ethereal harmonic sound right near my head but was so taken by it didn't think to look left or right, and evidently a look of wonder and fascination had come over my face and i see a man whose face is in front of mine and he's like, "isn't it awesome?" and i'm like, "what is it?" and he explains to me what they are and suddenly it's apparent to me that there are curtains of wind chimes hanging in the air chiming together in the wind...i couldn't believe such a simple thing was responsible for this beautiful sound...
he explained to me how their tuning was very precise, and i do believe it.
that is just one brand, and there are other nice ones around too, but that it the first one to stop me in my tracks.

i've never heard of raku before.

Raku is a kind of pottery. There's a two step process for the firing of this kind of pottery. Makes it porous, fragile and light. The clay turns black and the glazes are metalic, no two alike. Anyway, that's what the artist said, maybe somebody who's a potter would be willing to explain better. Very beautiful stuff.

I didn't see any chimes, though I like them. That art fair here is so huge any more. It covers the entire downtown area and is creeping into the campus area. People driving 5 miles an hour trying to find the best parking price. You just can't be in a hurry, if you are you'd have a stroke for sure.

Now I don't know when you saw it there but about a month ago we got that series called "My Name Is Earl". When I saw the first promo I thought "Oh no, another one of those crappy sitcoms!" But something tweaked my interest and now I watch it every week if possible! I particularly like Crabman. We're up to the one where Earl ruined the wedding! I also liked the one about Earl trying to help his Dad run for Mayor. Crabman cracked me up when he told Earl his reason for not voting!! Anyone else a fan?

I'm sorta lost as the topic of this thread is meandering at best....???/ typical message board non-scence. With that said, let it be known, that I am probably the #1 offender when it comes to "not staying on topic"!!!!

Anyhow Louise, we have a new sitcom here on HBO called 'Lucky Louie'. Like you, I was skeptical at best, thinking no not another show, I don't like shows per say... It follows my favorite Western "Deadwood" so the timing is right.

It's like a modern day honeymooners, except the people next door, are black, and don't work in a sewer....... ntm: they play the straight and Louie plays the funny. Altho it doen's have allot of drama.......... Which I like.... I was pleasently surprized....

Is anyone having fun playing pac-man. Seems a power outage in L.A. has myspace out of order for a few days.... Not to worry,. Rob will be writing his mindless rants, sometime soon......

the picture of arlo at his myspace, with the microphone in front of his face? well all this time instead of a microphone, i was seeing a sort of superimposed crescent shaped moon with a wisp of cloud at the bottom of it, you know a little bit of artwork, i'm thinking it's a nice touch...i just realized it's a microphone.

That's what I thought too... still it's nice, even if it's only a microphone.
