i didn't get any of it taped.
arlo was on our local news recently shortly after we'd just seen him at the birchmere...it was a miracle we even saw him (my mom called us with urgency in her voice)
we were so caught off guard that our attempt to tape it resulted in our somehow managing to tape the screen saver for about 15 minutes while watching him on the news channel. when we played it back we were freaking out. what's wrong with the vcr?!
(we would stop the tape and see the screen saver, then we would start the tape and see the screen saver)
that's talent!

i wonder if we could actually do that again if we tried!?

It's all Arlo's fault lol. Sometimes when the weathers right we can get stations from Agnes area on the tv. It's neat to pick them up...

I heard the interview on WAMC twice today!! :D It was really good! He was talking about how he met Steve Goodman and his plans about the CONO trip to New Orleans. He was also talking about the fact that when he lost his home in Sebastian last year, he never received any money from FEMA. His point was that we can't wait for the government to take care of things ... we have to do it ourselves!! I hear ya, Arlo!! :D Nice Interview!!

Arlo Guthrie is a guest today at 2pm EST on "Soundcheck" on WNYC (93.9 FM or http://www.wnyc.org), to talk about the Ridin' on the City of New Orleans tour.

Arlo was interviewed on the train, and it was broadcast on ABC TV news this evening. You can see the video of part of the interview here: http://abcnews.go.com/WNT/story?id=1416506

On the Road with Rosanne Cash and Arlo Guthrie
This weeks' American Routes hits the road in story and song. We visit with country singer and songwriter Rosanne Cash about life in a musical family, living in Nashville and her recent release, Black Cadillac. And join Nick as he rides the rails. It's a trip on the City of New Orleans train with singer that made it famous, folk hero Arlo Guthrie. Plus two hours of the traveling blues, as well as country, jazz, rock and soul and more.

It seems to be a radio show. Some of the stations that carry it also broadcast on the web so it can be heard on the computer if there is no local radio station in the area. Most webcasts are sometime Saturday (remember the time zone of the originating station when looking at the time printed).
