I noticed that tribute to Woody is entitled "Hard Travellin'". Isn't that a Kingston Trio song? I've been a KT fan for a while & I also noticed that they opened for Arlo in a concert Cheryl attended. Do they perform often with Arlo?

I have no idea if they've done any other shows with Arlo. All I know is they were the opening act for Arlos show in Richmond, VA on July 9, 1989 at the Carpenter Center. Nice show by both acts. Image

I don't know if they open or play with Arlo too often ... but I've liked their music since like forever and saw one of their guitars hanging on the wall at the Hard Rock Cafe in Sunrise, Fla., today ... that was about it ... they had a lot more Elvis, Beach Boys and Beatles stuff gathering dust.

I was at the show where the KT opened for Arlo. Was the first time I'd ever seen them. Wasn't a huge fan, but did like some of their music. They were GREAT in concert (although I still liked Arlo better). Very humorous guys, and I can't remember how many strings they broke onstage that night - I just know they MUST have been playing very hard!!!

I wonder if they are even still performing. At the show back in 89 I thought they were pretty old back then...

The show Dave's talking about was my 2nd show! Image (Get's all sentimental here. Sigh...) I was impressed that one of the KT knew where Hopewell was cuz that's a little town near me. It was the nite before Arlos birthday & he stayed until after his BD began. I remember he weasled some plastic bags off of me. He wanted those plastic basg so bad. What for, I'll never know! LOL! Didn't know who Dave was there back then, & they didn't have the internet or ARLONET yet.

Here's a pic of Arlo from that wonderful nite:

Arlo In Richmond, VA July 9, 1989

It was a great show & the only time I ever saw the Kingston Trio in Concert.
