Ruthie, would you like some snow to go with it? We just had about an hour of the most gorgeous, huge, wet flakes I've seen in a long time. Looks great on the bare tree limbs. But, no matter how pretty it looks, I don't want any more than we've already got... so I'm sending snow along to you and Shelly/Jay and Connie/Chuck and everyone else down that way.

Capt'n Zap has eighteen inches....of snow! Yesterday's snowstorm dropped a whopper up here in northwestern Connecticut. Ouch, my achin', snow shovelin' back! It was fun drivin' in it, too! And now it's droppin' down in the 20's (Fahrenheit). On the plus side, it sure is a pretty sight to see!Sorry to the folks in "Texlahoma". Wish we could send some wetness your way!

Thanks, all--please keep trying to send rain, snow, whatever. We'll take it! It's just too dry and warm. That may sound good if you're shovelin' snow, but trust me--it's not good. We're okay and should continue to be, but an awful lot of folks have lost everything. The butterflies are hatching, which means when it gets cold later, they won't have time to mature. Also all the fruit trees are budding, so there won't be fruit this year if they freeze. My theory? It's probably retribution for Bush & Delay being from here. Kind of like Dover.

"Dumbya" Bush was actually born in New Haven, Connecticut. Being known as the birthplace of, most likely, the worst president ever is retribution enough for this little state!

Man I am up after some weird dreams lol. First I dreamed that I was on Arlonet & people were discussing on there that they all liked Hank Williams Sr. Then I was s somewhere & they had a wall that was dedicated to Arlonet & had the names of everyone that had ever been on Arlonet on it. The things went to being weird. Talking in my sleep lol. In my sleep I started screaming out the lyrics to the Mr Ed Theme song. I kept screaming I am Mr Ed in my sleep. Then I began screaming out the lyrics to Hello I Love You Won't You Tell Me Your Name by the Doors. The part at the end where they scream out Hello, I kept screaming that out in my sleep too. I remember Mike asking me was I okay & I said yeah & then started laughing. Then I recall being in a deep sleep & haveing trouble breathing & not being able to get out of my sleep & panicking that I could croak in my sleep. Weird. So here I am here trying to get over it lol...

Well speaking of weird..The weather is just getting weirder all over and here in the north it is unseasonably warm. But hey I,m not complaining .Yesterday was 6 degrees celsius when the norm for this time of year the high should be -6c.
The Rideau canal opened for skating last weekend for the first time this year, had a 2 day run and is now closed as it has several inches of water on top of the ice and is in meltdown mode, the snow level is dropping rapidly as well.Again,no complaints here ,lol

Cheryl, test (and re-test) your sugar! Now, kid!!! My mother had something similar and she didn't wake up. Dad finally called 911... turned out her sugar was very LOW... a few hours in the ER fixed her right up.

I remember some decades ago that some wacky religious right Christian satanic song-watchin' group came out with a statement that the theme song to Mister Ed revealed satanic messages in it when played backwards. This, of course, piqued my and some friends' interest and so, with four-track recorder, we sang Mister Ed into it and then reversed the tape. The closest thing we came to hearin' something satanic was "Ozzy-whazzy" (an Ozzy Osborne reference before his time or maybe Ozzy Nelson?) and something that sounded like "eye-eedic-eye-opey" (don't know if that's satanic, but it sounded cool! Maybe a reference to Ron Howard's role on The Andy Griffith Show?). Everything else was pretty much unintelligible....like the above mentioned wasn't!? Well, what do you want? I have been know to put bars of soap in microwave ovens when bored. Yes, I am easily amused.

Not that you mnetion it, I think I might've heard that about the Mr Ed song but had forgotten about it lol. I remember I bought a Monkees tape in the Grundy, VA area once & when we played it it played backwards. It was goofed up lol. So we had to take it back & exchange for another one lol...
