My day was a bit exciting, right from the start. My car was making some strange noise and I headed right for my mechanic's. There I found out that, although the oil gauge AND the dummy light didn't show anything out of the ordinary, I had NO oil! So the noise was a lifter and I was very worried that I'd killed my engine. Once that was taken care of (hopefully)... I got a haircut and headed home for a much-needed nap.

Later, some friends and I went out for dinner to celebrate our Spring birthdays. Ellen was supposed to go, but she remembered she had to help her husband tile his parents' kitchen floor instead (happy birthday to you, too, Ellen).

For dessert at the restaurant, I did have a brownie (sort of).... with vanilla ice cream and lots of hot fudge sauce! Then when I got home, Michael had made me a dark Milky Way "cake"... he stuck a birthday candle in the candy bar!

What a great chonklit birthday I had... the BESTEST!
