Wow! Those Blunderwishes really work--thanks to all of you! It was the most Blunderful birthday I've ever had. Chuck and Connie were there, and I got to spend some great time with Shirley. Ken found the perfect place to stay--we "took over" an incredible B&B. Sherry and Ken brought the hugest, biggest, most yummy chonklate and pecan cake and we celebrated with Michael-the-bus-driver, whose birthday was Saturday (also Cyndy's, I think?). Oh yeah--and there was this folksinger who gave me a hug and wrote birthday wishes on a great photo of himself--by Judy--with a paragraph on the back, etc...Oh, yeah; this part's kind of fuzzy, but I also seem to recall a 5-hour winery visit with Ken, Sherry, and Jay.

We weren't here to send warm air northward, but because we were 200 miles south of here, we saw bluebonnets and Indian paintbrush and azaleas blooming--all kinds of signs that spring really will return. Keep the faith!

Blunderhugs, Shelley

Edited to say: Two Welsh corgis reside at the B&B. Their names are Moose and Shelley. (!) Guess what Sherry's calling Jay now?

Glad you had such a great, blunderful birthday!

Is there any cake left? You said it was big, right?

Actually, there is some cake left. I'll bring it if there's Blunderchat tonight.

Yet another belated happy B-day, Shelly. Glad it was a good'un. Maybe, if you guys make it up this way in October, m'lady and I can help you and Jay...er, Moose... to ? hours long mead tasting!

Could've used some of that warm southern wind Saturday morning. Had a pre-dawn drive to Bridgeport in a near zero visibility/white-out snowstorm. Two and a half hours (normally less than one and a half hours) of driving in a winter Blunderland!
