<img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/frown.gif" width=15 height=15> It is with heavy heart that I inform you that Alfalfa, Buckwheat and Chickpea have flown to the Big Chook Dome in the sky.........
During the night a fox, dingo or stray dog ripped the door off the Chook Dome and did horrible things to the girls. I won't go into detail but it wasn't pretty. Of course it only actually ate part of one but killed all. That's nature I guess.I don't feel any bad feelings toward the animal. If it was a dog it was the fault of the owner for letting it stray. Dingos and Foxes just act on instinct.

We'll just have to strengthen the Dome before we bring home 3 more girls after a suitable mourning period.

So Weezie and The Chooks will never appear at Woodyfest with Joe.................

So have a drink of mead or whatever to The
3 Chooks who brought us a little humour in these frightening times.

Oh, Louise and John, I'm so sorry. I know you might think they should be wary of dogs, but I assure you, my Greycie was there to welcome them--a border collie, she loved to herd my flock of chickens around the place; never hurt a one, just herded them. They'll not be alone.

Louise, I am so sorry. Sometimes "just nature" isn't easy. Now the girls can watch the adventures of the blunderites in their leisure.

So, Weezy, are you saying I shouldn't order the chook at Outback or I'll be eating Alfalfa, Buckwheat, or Chickpea? Time for you to work on that dome all right. My neighbor lost his chooks to coyotes, and he tried to blame my dog, Sasha, who is quite the pacifist.

Sorry about the girls, Wheezie. Mother nature can be harsh sometimes. Maybe they'll come back as full fleged Blunderites next time around. Tonight, I'll lift a spot of maple mead to the dear chooks.

Thanks for all your kind words on the passing of the BlunderChooks.
I spent an evening with k.d. (4th row center) last night and that really lifted my spirits.
The Chook Dome looks depressingly empty so we will be on the lookout for Daffodil,Endive and Feverfew......shortly.
See, there's hope yet Joe!!!

Belated sympathies to you, sorry to hear about your chooks, take comfort in knowing that they will now be laying eggs for Angels omelettes in heaven.

Before the Woodyfest-goers are ready for my special brand of singing, you'll probably go thru a lotta Blunderchooks, until you reach the point where they're Xena, Yolanda, & Zoe!
