Linda, Jen, Larry... I'm so glad Aaron's home... Hi, Aaron! Hope the surgery goes smoothly and that there are no negative after-affects... other than he can't go back to war! How great would that be?

I'm soooooooooooo sorry to report, that ALL 4 ( 3 xmas & 1 of 7-bulletproof vests!) were sent home to me yesterday! I sent ALL these out while Aaron was home on leave in mid Nov.! So the boys would have a nice xmas, Aaron told them they were coming, and to take them as he was being sent home, BUT once again the stuipd Army could not! They sent them all back! We got to see first hand how these much treasured items arrive to the troops! Aaron and his buddy were here last nite when we unpacked everything! Kevin couldn't even eat a chip, ( too many memorys)and to this day he can't eat them! The chips were ALLCRUMBS....but he did say how much they looked forward to ALL of Aaron's carepackages! Ice pops were broken, and sticky all over everything, but they never minded! And believe it or not the little xmas tree I send made it there and back NOT 1 BULB broken!!!!!!!!! And th ecandy canes were in great shape too , to my surprise...What items we could save will be repacked and sent to our friend Raun who is in the Airforce and has been extended till March!
Merry Christmas to you and your family!
Hugs~
Lin
PS>>Thanks for all the birthday wishes, and still no news on the surgery date! HURRY UP & Wait remember, will keep you all posted!

What a disappointment all around. It's so Army that it would be funny if it weren't so real to those soldiers. Donald Duck being over there and all, his 'papers' should get lost and he should have to stay there the next couple of years, as a private. I'll bet his ass was on its way back here before they ever released the info that he was there.

Here's an update folks!
No surgery right now for Aaron, on meds for 1 month, then goes back down to DC for a recheck! THAT's the army for ya!!!!!
Jen on the other hand is not so lucky, seems the wisdom tooth that wasn't suppose to come up decide too! EXTRACTION tomorrow!! she has decided to let the dentist take it out BECAUSE she also needs sinus surgery and only wants to go under once! THATS right...she has been sick for over 21/2 months and has had enough! Catscan showed she needs surgery! what a fun start to the yr she is having...never a dull moment in our house! Keep the vibes going, and thanks again
Linda
