That's a nice thought, Beverley, but you know what men are like. When we became adults & got jobs, we bought ourselves all those things.

When I was in college, my mom threw away all the baseball cards I bought as a kid back when they came in packs of 5 for just 5 cents each---just so I could buy 'em back as an adult for $5 each.

That's why moms were put on earth. They wait until their sons go off to college, then they throw out his baseball cards & comic books. Then they sit down & say, "My work here on earth is done."

I've never thrown away baseball cards, Star Wars stuff... nothing! Not that I haven't threatened to, tho.

My work here on earth will never be done... at least not until I've driven my kids as crazy as they've driven me.

A Christmas morning where you can get up at your own leisure to see how many prezzies you have under the tree; No Kids jumping on your bed at half 5 wanting to go down stairs.
