Pam, I'm so sorry for you that she is gone, but so happy for you and her and all of your family that you have had each other and for such a good, long time! Now she lives in your heart full-time and will always be with you. Hugs and love.

Pam--So sorry to hear about your Grandma. You were lucky to have her with you for such a good long time, and she will always be in your heart. Lots of love is being aimed at you and your family right now!

Thank you for continuing to think about Shirley's Dad. I heard from her a couple times today. Here's the latest:

"Dad had a good weekend, the bleeding finally stopped after 9
transfusions.  Once again they were getting ready to move him from
intensive care to a regular room, and I came back to Houston last
night.  This morning Mother called and said he was bleeding badly again.
The docs can't seem to find the exact location of the bleeders.  I
suggested he swallow a big tube of glue to coat the inside of his colon -
well, nothing else they'd tried has worked! This is getting us all down ..." (from this morning)

"The surgeon is going to try again to find the bleeders and fix them.  If he can't this time, he'll have to do major
surgery. The chances he won't pull through that are high, but he can't go
on losing blood over and over either.  Keep the prayers & vibes
going." (from this afternoon)

I'll let you know if I hear any more.

It sounds like the holidays could be rough for a lot of people this year. I remember my own Grandma died early in the morning on Thanksgiving Day when I was a sophomore in college. We still celebrated the holiday, thankful for the time we'd had with her, and thankful that she was now at peace.

I'm so sorry to hear about your grandmother. I think it was good that everyone who meant so much to her was able to say goodbye. She must have left in peace, knowing she was loved by her family. May your memories of her bring peace to you at this time.

pam, so so sorry to hear your grandma passed away today... today was my grandma's birthday, so I always remember her on this day, it's right before mine, so unlikely to forget it... I grew up thinking we were both the same age!! Rest assured your grandma has just gone to a place where my grandma is busy baking the rugalach and always looking for another person to chat with! mmmmmmmmmmmm....
