WELCOM BACK.

It was my birthday on the 30th and I tryed to post all this then but the borads whent down as I submitted it!

As one of the treats for my birthday me and Alan went to our local folk club to see a chap called Peter Coe, he was really good, never heard of him before but we were realy glad we went. During his set he played a Darrel Adams song but I've forgotten which. After I got chatting to him and said I was very please he'd play a Darrel song as the only Album of his I had was Banjo Man on CD. This interested him as he only had it on LP, this interested me as I only have it on CD. I told him that the only place I saw it and got it was at the Church, so I told him to come to Arlo net find the get stuff link and he'd be able to get a copy. He said that his LP was a German import. He also told me a really funny story I wanted to share, though you've probably heard it before.

He had met Darrel a few times and when he died he went to his house to pay his last repects. He got confused however when the undertakers took Darrel out of his coffin to put plastic carrier bags on the bottom, then they put Darrel back, seald the lid and took him to the cremitorium. He found out later that his last request was to go with one last puff. The bags were full of Hash

He also told me that Darrel had been asked to leave Manchester when he was in a group called The Wild Ones? He was on stage and didn't know the mic was still on and said something against the Mayor, I'd like to have known what he said.

He had also brought with him someone from your side, a chap named Pat Riley. He played Banjo in the film Cold Mountain. He did a few songs and he was really good too. We had a realy nice time.

I also got a lovely Hippie skirt from Alan, made in India by a group of women who have leard to sew and teach other women new skills so they can earn a better wage for a better life; which makes it an even nicer skirt. But on top of the meal he took me for and the really posh box of Chocolates I don't think it's going to fit long.

Thanks for all your Birthday Emails I really liked getting them.

Love and Hugs
Me

Beverley,
Happy birthday from Texas! The chocolates sound divine; just enjoy them and don't worry about the skirt. With all the walking you do, it'll come off fast.

Edited to say I meant any extra weight would come off fast. (You guys missed a golden opportunity there. Todd's shaking his head.)

Happy birthday, Beverley!

Wow...30...what was I doing at 30?

I think I was collecting LP's & laying on the couch watching baseball.

Gee, a lot's changed.

May you stay forever young!

Oops! I misread your post--you did not turn 30, your birthday was on the 30th.

Sorry if I made you too old!

Beverley... it's soooo not fair that we missed your birthday! So we'll have to celebrate it for twice as long to make up for it!

Chonklit cake and posh candies for the next two weeks at least!

It sounds like you had a wonderful day... I wish you many many more!
