howdy all! thanks so much for the birthday wishes!

i had a wonderful birthday and as ruth suggested will be celebrating for more than just 'the day' (but most of you know that already!)

i'm in atlanta....going to the met games (3 of them!)...they lost tonight but tomorrow is another day!

had lots of chocolate cake....and tried to blow out all the candles before we set off the smoke alarm!

thanks again for the birthday (and all the other) wishes....

you guys are the best!

hugs all around,
sherry
p.s. arnie...please have some lobster for me too!

Cyndy, we had absolutely fabulous weather! Every day, the reports from Bangor were for rain, gloom, etc.... and every day, the sun came shining up over the pond we were staying on (Seals Cove Pond)... The temps even hit the high 80's for a couple of days, before dropping back to more 'maine-ish' weather.
Be sure to lunch at Jordon Pond for the popovers! I became a fanatic (so what else is new?) and baked up a few batches of my own after that! And the hike around Jordon Pond (to the Bubbles and back) was just perfect!
If you're in the vacinity of Some's Sound - by Hall Quarry Rd., stop by Pectic Seafood for some takeout Lobsters! mmmmmmmmm

it was absolutely the best week I've had in a long time. I'm jealous that you'll stay for 2! The last time we were up that way was 20+ years ago, so it was long overdue!!

Thanks Arnie for the report!!! We've been going there for the past 10 years and I absolutely LOVE it there!!! We usually take the carriage ride over to Jordan Pond and those popovers with that strawberry jam is one of the BEST things to eat!!! I've been over to Somes Sound but never to the place you mentioned ...TAKE-OUT LOBSTER???? Want me to bring you some?? Let's hope that all of the hurricane weather is GONE by the 18th!!! Actually the 20th because we're starting out on the 18th to go to Mt. Washington in NH for 2 days.
Thanks again!!
