Just got the word this morning that my sister Nancy has breast cancer. Fortunately, they caught it early--it's Stage 1. Many of you will remember that I went through this myself 5 years ago, and I'm glad to at least be able to say that her tumor was smaller than mine was, and that's a good thing. It was removed in a biopsy last week. She will need a little more surgery--the doctor wants to go back in and take a little more out to make sure she got everything and the margins were clear, and also get some lymph nodes to see if it has spread. She'll be seeing her doctor tomorrow and will find out more then. I just got off the phone with Nancy and although she said she was hysterical this morning when she got the news (very normal reaction!), she is doing OK now, and has a whole long list of questions to ask the doctor, so she is very prepared. She would appreciate some prayers, though, so, well.....

It seems like there have been an awful lot of prayers and vibes needed lately, for so many people. I'm so very glad and grateful that you're all there!

Thanks!

Nancy has our prayers. Please let her know that a bunch of strange strangers are pulling for her. She's lucky to have you, though. I remember your accounts of your experiences and the great attitude you took with you through the treaments and recovery. Nancy has definitely got an advantage in having you to guide her through the whole thing.

Judy, please tell your sister that she has the prayers and blundervibes from the blunderfolk in Texas. Your strength will help her through this. The Moose Friends will help you. Love!

Prayers are coming from the direction of Pittsburgh as well, Judy. All my best to Nancy.

Yes, there has been need for a lot of prayers around here, but I have enough to go around.

Let you sister know that I'm thinking of her. It must be hard for you reliving all your fears, this time for your sister. But at least you'll be able to help her through this, as I'm sure she must have helped you.

Thoughts and Vibes,
BEV
