Because we live so far away, we didn't get the postcard, and so didn't know where to send our money until a day after everyone else knew, so we sent it to Harold's office by ExpressMail, hoping thereby it would get there about when everyone else's did.

I can only guess the office thought we were being greedy and trying to get ahead of others, or something, because they refused to accept the ExpressMail. The post office has to try to deliver it three times, so they did, and so it took a week and a half to get back to us--it wasn't returned to us until today--12 days after we sent it..

We already have nonrefundable airline tickets, and now we, my sis, and Wyld don't have Carnegie tickets. We've been so excited and planning on this since we knew about it. If we had known we couldn't get them the way Blunderites who live closer do, we would have contacted Carnegie on the 29th. But we thought we had already bought our tickets.

Sorry I'm whining. I am. I know this doesn't come close to the pain others around the world feel tonight for many more serious reasons, but it's very frustrating and it hurts and I don't understand it. If we knew ExpressMail wasn't going to be accepted, we wouldn't have sent it that way.

That's all.

Ceashel

i'm so sorry, shelley! i still haven't received any tickets, nor has my check been cashed, so i don't know if i have tickets coming or if my uncashed check will be arriving at some point. this whole thing is not working as well as it usually does. normally, they sell the advance tickets earlier, so you would know if you needed to buy them from carnegie. this year it really does seems to be all up in the air. i guess we should have all sent our money with johnc and arnie!

If you know you're not getting your mail order tix, you can still get them at their website, www.carnegiehall.org.
I just pulled up 3 together in the dress circle off to the side, 3 together in the middle of the front balcony, row G, and 3 together in the middle of the rear balcony, row N. Tix is better than no tix.

Hello Blunderfriends! As the fates would have it, we have an extra pair of tickets to the Nov. 29 Carnegie show. If anyone is interested in them, contact us through private messages.

Thanks and blunder on!
