howdy everyone! thanks for the birthday wishes...we just got in and i had a truly wonderful day!

we ate lots of chocolate cake among other things and the weather was perfect too!

the day started with a phone call from rene..who has left iraq and is back in kuwait and should be back in the states soon and the day just got better from there!

ken is in town for another few days and we are having a blast...he'll be gone for 10 days and then be back north for 4 weeks..so as they say in lake charles....it's all good!

still enjoying my birthday week....the friday night volunteers had a surprise cake with REALLY cool 'wiggly' candles for me and it's looking pretty definite that rene will be back in the states some time in the next 2 weeks!

so far i'm enjoying 40!
