I'm a little late. I hope that the surgery is going well.

Hoping he has a surgeon as skilled as Hawkeye to get him through this all right. Hang in there, Bill, you're gonna be ok! <img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/smile.gif" width=15 height=15>

Thanks, all. I'm feeling those vibes roar past Dallas on their way to Austin. Bill was able to talk on the phone before they took him to surgery, so I was able to convey good wishes from the community. It meant a lot to him and helped both of them. He's not a computer using kind of a guy, but has been an Arlo fan since the beginning. I thank you all more than you'll ever know; I'll post again when I know something new.

Continuing to send good blundervibes. Am waiting with baited breath and crossed fingers and toes for good news. I'm glad you were able to pass on the good wishes. I'm surprised we could all get on the web to post what with the ether being so full of good vibes and all. (Don't forget, Ceas, I am sturdy and can take a lot of leaning on.)

Says the doctor, "Some time has been bought." We'll be taking a printout of this thread to Bill and Pam this weekend. Thanks again, all.

Best Wishes,,,Bill!!!

i know about buying time...
and the inevitable path we all walk.

i'd like to share something Arlo wrote to me a while back...

'Try to stick around..as long as it seems worth it.'

somehow,,someway,,those words brought me some peace. i offer them to you.

ps: don't give rb any of your painkillers...please save them for me..
just kidding.

Onward!!!

Hi Bill:
I know you know you have a great friend, in Shelley. We talk, in here, about sharing brain cells. Shelley took up a collection, among us, and, while the basket has mostly silly string & fur balls, there are brain cell "starter kits" in there, too.
Ask Shelley to sing you a Miriam Makeba song! That should stimulate something, hospital evacuation, maybe....best wishes for a fast bounce-back
All the Best
Dave/Bumper

We could also add our regional favorite food to the basket as a break from hospital food. (Although mine wouldn't be much different--it would have to be a midwestern something suspended in jello thing.) Hope to hear good things soon--blundervibes are coming at you deep and thick.

Bumper, thanks! Got the latest music today and will be taking your music to Bill, too. And Pamram, probably Jello wouldn't survive the trip to Austin, but Susan is sending chonklit chip cookies with us, and that should help a LOT, and your cookie/Rei Ki vibes will be with us, too, and Bill will know about both.
