Just a reminder, tommorro is Feb. 14th. Valentines Day. So buy all them chocolates, and flowers and junk. Most of all, don't forget the day. Woman can get all wierd about this shit! Trust me. Or ask Arnie.

So Happy Valentines Day to everyone!!!

Arnie, the back half of Larnie, dressed up as cupid? Hmmmm? There is a visual I can do without!
Yet another "Hallmark Holiday". Well, I showed 'em! I didn't buy any hallmark stuff! I'm not gunna let them get me! No sir! I won't fall to the whims of the greedy capitalist pigs who invent these Hallmark Holidays and then exploit them! I'm way to smart for that!
I bought generic cards and Godiva Chocolates instead!

So how was everyone's V-Day? I think we should swap stories. Mine was pretty depressing. At first it was good, I went and saw the Vagina Monologues performed at my college with some friends. They rocked the casbah, and I recommend all women see it! (some lone males in the audience liked it too!) But then the evening took a turn for the worst.

My friend Beth and I headed to the bars to find some males, her being taken, I being single, she was really there for support. No one was even AT the first one, so i downed a few Rum & Cokes, and we headed to another bar uptown. TONS of guys there, and a good jukebox, so we settled. I had a few more rum and cokes, and then several males came to the table, ALL of which hit on my friend, NONE of which acknowledged I was even there. By late evening I was very drunk, extremely depressed, and cried. I staggared home, had a hangover the next day, and the date I was supposed to have Friday evening canceled. (sigh)
But hey, at last I saw the Monologues, and my Mom bought me some chocolate to make me feel better Hope you all had a better one!

Oh wow, sorry to hear about your bad luck in dating. Good luck! A friend of mine set me up on a blind date yrs ago. I've been married to him for 15 yrs so blind dates must work.

Shannon - Keep the faith, Girl!!! I met my husband of 13 years in a bar/dance place called The Copa. (Man, did we think we were pretty cool hangin' out there!) I'm so glad I overlooked his dancing abilities that night because underneath all those bizarre moves is a very wonderful man!! Hee, hee!

ShannonO, love will strike when you least expect it, and probably when it's inconvenient. In the meantime, enjoy life and don't worry about it. I'm sure Bumper has some suitable lyrics besides the dreaded "don't worry, be..." He's a master at matching the music to the situation.

Ceashel speaks the truth. A wise woman. Definitely just enjoy life in the meantime. The more you look for love the more you feel bad if it takes a while to find it, too. Chocolate and music, on the other hand, will always be there for you.

you want good chocolates, AND a good man?????

boy, talk about pushy kids!!

(settle for the chocolates! they'll be gone, but always leave you with a good memory, and longing for more... wish I could say the same for many of my species)
