If you are like me and can't sing and don't own a suit or a tie then you can still show your support at
http://www.riverfund.org/

maybe just maybe I could learn to sing but how do I bid?

This sounds really cool!!!
From what I gather after looking at the website, bidding on this will be open on Nov. 1 thru Nov 11...

Wonder what the minimum bid will be... I prolly can't afford it, but I will contribute to the River Fund!

Sounds like a possibilty. Mark should go, but I don't know if he will. I mean, he could really do a thing with Arlo and he already knows lots of the music and plays it well. Bob said listening to him at the tailgate was like being at a gig. Also he's going to be in town anyway, that weekend.

If he's not interested and if a huge sum of money drops from the sky I'll bid and send my son to play violin or something, seeing as it's a symphony gig..or maybe not, seeing as I haven't asked him and he does have his own life. Also, looking up at the sky...no money, just seagulls ready to let loose.

i'll convey your post to mark, pat...it was very nice, and will make him smile. i'd bid for him to do it, but that large amount of money isn't dropping from the sky anywhere around here either.

rob would definitely be a good one, too...either on the violin or guitar...he's excellent at both!

Well, at least we've identified the problem. We can supply the musical talent. We might be a bit underfunded, though. A grant..we need a grant!

You know of course deb that Mark needs a new 6 string, and he should get it and get comfortable with it BEFORE he plays Carnegie!

By the way, with my guitar playing ability, I was asked NOT to play Carnegie Hall, but to eat at the Carnegie Deli instead.......somehow they thought that fit my talents better? Image
