*mornings are my worst! (all the albuteral and ipratropium has left my system, along with a host of anti-convulsants and any narcotics that may or may not help)...To think it's easy replacing these things would be assinine. It takes a 15 minute breathing treatment to get my lungs on track, along with being tired (or risk having a seizure) and then the pain meds come last. They only work for around 3-6 hrs. Most times, they are last on my agenda....

I pray your nites get easier. Stay quiet, and don't go out of your way. For me, or anyone...Well Cindy, but that's expected. Doesn't not living alone suck sometimes. There are times, I'd give it all up, for a little peace and quiet...

Don't tell me it's anything like dialisis!? And if it's that bad, I feel for ya more than you know...I'm hopin your kidneys are working, and this fluid thing can be resolved...(even if it's a rather nasty procedure).....Can you have it done once and have it last for awhile??? Are you taking Lasix??? Better get in and sounds like ya might have to be inpatient for awhile....Don't croak on me. Just for the Drs. Ask them for some patches...Man we don't need no stinking patches.....DROOLING on the typewriter (Fentenal Patches)....Altho I think I'd prefer the pump. I used to build circut boards for 'Bard'Medical Company (1987) and that was quite inovative for it's time. A machine that gives a shot of morphine when you push the button...I always wanted to steal one..For some strange reason...Maybe so I could up the dose for a friend in need...My buddy had the pump, and liked it...said he didn't use it that much???

the hospital really isn't that bad. Just remember you can help yourself there! And don't start back on the ciggarrettes!!! Hiding in the bathroom smoking (well use some breath mints) and get a air freshioner!!! Don't set off any smoke alarms. You can do it, and it brings on a whole new meaning to the word television.

*Enjoy the time you have. A new liver isn't out of the question. I'd give you mine, but the wear and tear, I'm afraid I wouldn't be giving you much...Altho it should be regenerating according to Dr. Stein (and the University of LA) I realize your chance of regeneration is zilch because of the Hepatitis! Does being a Veternan put you any further up the list? It should if it doesn't/

rb,,,just so you understand...a va hospital is a federal reservation..any infractions are
felonies...their are no misdemeanors...

and yes, i could become a convicted felon..even for smoking in an unauthorized
area...god forbid ralph showed up...it would cost me the rest of the life's freedom..

and somehow that just doesn't seem worth it.
