and, in the background, as two parents, relate their sad tale of "parenting" explaining how the corruption of the noun "parent" brought discord to their house, Jimmy Hendrix, demonstrates anticipatory lyricsism, as he sings....

"Noun free!, to do what I please
Moun free! to ride the breeze...
Noun Free!, I can't stay,
I gotta gotta gotta get away...right now,,,,"

Yikes!
Part of the pre-adoption process (for those of us who don't happen to have handy the 25,000-or-so dollar fee that it costs to bypass it) is a ten week course in -- you guessed it -- parenting.
Why am I not really looking forward to this?

Sigh. The worst of it is, there probably really is a direct correlation between being a lousy excuse for a parent and being a language butcher. Hmmmmn.

BTW, I have to go down to L.I. for the orientation/information meeting. Apparently, adoption is a concept that has not yet reached Ulster County. Not surprising, I suppose, considering ...

I find myself in agreement, with Chompsky on what the "problems are". I dont often agree with his interpretations of what should happen next...I shouldn't've started this thread, eating KFC chicken, too messy, ..
ceashel, I just finished "Zebras, Singing" your next tape...

Thank you, too, Deb, you'll collectively get me back in touch yet!

Best "line" in the essay: "Real patriotism demands a certain amount of thinking." Pretty radical.

Bumper, good thread, don't apologize. Just had chicken myself. One thing I like about "here" is the free exchange of ideas, including political and religious. And I feel free to make mistakes, and learn. It is good. Anticipation for Zs; the free, bar-code-pattern horses of my dreams.

GOOD MORNING AMERICA!!! How are ya...??

*Is this land, getting crazy or what!? Washington spent $10,000.00 on covering up nude statues... ASHCROFT YOU BONE-HEAD..

Is the war getting wierd...I've been boycotting CNN...Sticking to ONLY the DAN news...TRUE, I must be missing some whirlwind issues with Heraldo, but I usually get to see them on 'Jonathon Stewart'. Makes for a better time frame... Altho, anytime I think of Heraldo, I start laughing...Maybe my dentist can trade in his nitrous-oxide, for a life size poster of Heraldo???

Geraldo is such a clown. Ugh.

Personally, I prefer Peter Jennings. I think he's real, down to earth and informative. Plus, he asks good questions to the newsmakers, reporters, et al.

Well, whatever you watch, read, or hear, will only give you as much as they are told to give. There's no way that the government is going to unleash the truth!!
God forbid!

Isn't it a shame that they cannot speak in front of nude statues...I think it's a sign of nervousness and weakness.

Why was it never a problem before??...HMMMM...

EDIT:
(Either I'm onto something good, or I'm ON something good! )

Yes, who knew? Peter Jennings is a blunderite. I always did like him. But although I was glued to CNN for a few weeks after 9/11, I'm now getting most of my news from the Daily show, too. I like the perspective. I think that those people could be blunderites, too, if they put their minds to it.

Yes Pat, I like Kerry's ideas. But I believe it's you that are on to something...With the Reverend Al Sharpton making a humble guest, our noble Folkslinger ought to knock-em dead!!!......
*Rev. Al sincerely put his point accross. I liked his candidness. And I love a man that can laugh at advercity. Laughter might not heal, but it sure fills in the cracks!!

Great quote, RB! I'd like to put that in big type and post it in my office--with your permission, of course.
