Love it RB. Northern Exposure was one of the best shows ever. Arlo really should have been in it. It almost seemed like he was there without his being there, if you know what I mean. Anyway...I'll be looking forward to your next interview.

Rb: Chris is at the moment, remembering those smoke rings. He was kinda hoping they'd surrendor. Last time I knew he was garbed in a burka, looking to go to town???
Babe Hunting, I would guess...???

OH wait a minute. Here he is.
Rb:Chris what happened??? I thought you were traveling incognito???
Chris: I was Rb. I got a terrible flashback!
Rb: I had no idea Chris. You seem the pacifist type... You mean, you've served before???
Chris: No, just remembering the episode, where I played a monk....REMEMBER the sexuality issue, in my dreams....
Rb: Vaguely, Chris... If I remember, you lusted a man.
Chris: No comment Rb...Do I have to remind you, it's ONLY a show..
Rb: Probly, every once and awhile Chris, but none-the-less, I won't bring it up again.
Chris: AND NO MORE BURKA's????
Rb: Whatever you say Chris. Your the guest!!
Chris: Rb, can you play something for my old cast, of friends.
Rb: Sure...Anything for you Chris!
Chris: Just play the entire 'Blood on the Tracks'.....I feel like a lil Dylan...

*GREAT idea...it's gonna be a long afternoon.
Rb: Do you mind if I follow that up with 'Washington County' Mr. Stevens?
Chris: Damn Brown your good! You must have been reading my mind.........

I think Arlo must have lived next door to Marilyn. Somehow, they seem to have influenced each other. Great Chris In the Morning, rb! Again! Again! Did he borrow the burka idea from Bumper? Going now to check the schedule for reruns...

A&E does Northern Exposure. Twice a day, every day -- around these here parts at least. (Or was. I haven't been watching TV much lately until yeaterday.)

Chris is doing the the history of sex show on A&E now, isn't he ...? So it was good of him to take time out of his busy schedule to drop by KBEAR for the radio interview.

And just in time for the newest "UBL" tape, too. I wonder what Chris will have to say about it. Hmmmn.

"Blood on the Tracks," did you say? ( I have a funny story about that sort of, too. I'll tell it someday, maybe even.)

So: UBL is the other person who thought the towers would topple. (The first one would be the architect/the contractor/ whoever, who siad it several weeks ago on the news.)

They thought the towers(s) might topple onto the school, perhaps? Yeah, must be there's lot's of terribly guilty 8 year olds going to school in lower Manhattan. Since UBL knew beforehand that no one who was to killed would be innocent, it stands to reason that there must be.

This is not news I'm happy to hear. I'm just not exactly partial to being exterminated by a religious nut. Call it selfishness, call it cowardice, call it what you will, I still don't consider it a viable option.

So yeah, what else does Chris have to say, I wonder? And ... is he incognito?

More Chris? I'm sad to say, he went state side. He did leave his regards tho! HE ALSO left me K-BEAR radio station. Said, the fact, he's been in syndication, for almost a decade, he wouldn't be needing it anymore...

GOOD-THING-TO...Horaldo, had this little friendly fire fight last night, and 'OUR' old station, was blown to bits!!! I'm still feeling the shell shock....

UBL: is not worth the air-time. He talks in riddles of what (HIS) God likes, and amuzes himself with fame. Perscription, for plastic surgery......IS THERE A DR. IN THE HOUSE???

K-BEAR ROCKS And we are gonna folk you to DEATH!!!! Chris did leave me these tunes, before he left, with about 6 Afganny babes. He also, told me, that the women in Afganistan, are among the most beautiful in the world!!!!

"Can We Still Be Friends" by Todd Rundgren
"Smoke on the Water" Deep Purple
"The Baby Tree" by Hot Tuna\
"Mudslide Slim and the Blue Horizon" by James
"Moon Song" Arlo
"So lonesome I could Cry" Hank Williams Sr.
'Beautiful People' Marilyn Manson.......

Tune in tommorro...for, we hope we're still here!?

Well, best of luck to Chris, wherever he may be. And to his pheromones. When you see him, ask him if he has anything to say about Wynona Ryder getting busted for shoplifting. This world is getting weirder by the minute.

Yeah, and thanks for not wasting our time with UBL interviews. We know what he has to say, and what his intentions. His actions say it all, quite loud and clear, whatever words he chooses to use, in whatever language.

Am reading "Stolen Lives," by Malika Oufkir, her story of her family's (and her) '20 years in a desert jail.' Some story. Some insight into the head/lifestyle/POV of a very, very different world from the one I grew up in, that's for sure.

Bring back the Powhatan Confederacy, I say. The sooner the better, thank you very much. Openly, and as such. What the world needs now ...
Oh, brother. The world needs a whole lot of help, just now. What you said, Mr. RBrown. I'm right with you on that one. Me too, I sure do hope we're all here tomorrow. And the next day. And long after Ramadan (2025A.D.)

P.S. Love the song list, although being something of a cultural illiterate (having spent so much time in Mexico and then in Woodstock, and all) I haven't even heard all of them yet -- so I dunno what all of it is, or means, or anything. However, far be it from me to allow some trifling little detail stop me, like say, not knowing what we're talking about ... It never has before, after all.
So, where were we ...?
What? No "Foggy Foggy Dew" ("And the only, only, thing that I did that was wrong, was to ...")?
How about "Pencil Thin Mustache" by Jimmy Buffet?
"Blue Moon" by (Who did do 'Blue Moon' anyway? I know this one: I just disremember, is all. Ehem)
Well, then what about "Imagine" by, uh, John Lennon, then? Or maybe, "With A Little Help From My Friends"?
Ummmmn ..."Crazy" by Patsy Cline? (Nah. That one's for a different thread, maybe.)

I guess "redface" is no longer a viable smilie. Like "Oogle." Oh. Well. Maybe this will work.

Graveyard shift here! Muffy the only rendition of 'Blue Moon' that I'm familiar with, is the one on Bob Dylan's 'Self Portrait......Don't believe he wrote it. He did allot of covers, on the double L.P. If it's the same one.?

Blue moon, you saw me standing alone
Without a dream in my heart, without a love of my own
Blue moon, you knew just what i was there for
You heard me sayin a prayer for, someone I could really care for

/brige/And then there suddenly appeared before me
The only one my arms will ever hold
I heard somebody whisper 'Please adore me'
And when I looked, the moon had turned to gold
Dm7 G C -/ /Fm B Eb -/G D G -

Blue moon! Now I'm no longer alone
Without a dream in my heart, without a love of my own

-w:Richard Rodgers m:Lorenz Hart
C 1934.

Right song.
That sure is one of THE songs in my book; if you know what I mean, JellyBean. Thanks for placing it into context. You've answered several other questions that have been nagging at me for ages, while you were about it. Thanks.
There's another cover of it -- the one I'm more familiar with -- that dates back a little farther. Since I'm not exactly sure who did it, can't say how far -- 50's maybe. Late 40's/early 60's ... ehh ... Before My Time. Nat King Cole, perhaps? One of the crooners, anyway.
I'm pretty sure that this month there's a Blue Moon. That gives us all something else to celebrate (in between dodging Ebola Fever and/or Smallpox, and/or whatever else it is we're dodging these days).
Love that night shift.

I agree, Sparky. The video brought it all back, and more. They say they want to go to their paradise. If that's so, I want nothing more for them than they want for themselves. And soon. And I resent the hell out of their being able to make me feel the way I do. It's hard to grasp that they are of the same species as the rest of us. Seems like this is where I came in...not feeling the way I want to feel about myself because of those madmen.

Well, I'm glad that was the right, 'Blue Moon'! I thought 'Blue Moon of Kentucky" but am sick of Elvis...(Been there done that)..

Here's an oldy: 'I've Got to Know' by Woody

I've got to know, yes, I've got to know, friend
Hungry lips ask me wherever I go
Comrades & Friends all a-falling around me
I've got to know, yes, I've got to know

Why do your war boats ride on my waters?
Why do your death bombs fall from my skies?
Tell me, why do you burn my farm and my town down?
I've got to know, friend, I've got to know

What makes your boats haul death to my people?
Nitro blockbusters, big cannons and guns?
Why doesn't your ship, bring food & some clothing?
I've sure got to know folks, I've sure got to know!

What good work did you do, I'd like to ask you?
To give you my money right out of my hands?
I built your big house here to hide from my people
WHY do you crave to hide so, I'd love to know!

**This reminds me of Mick Jagger singing "Give a break, for the hard working people"?????????????????????

Well all I can say is that when Allah meets these bozos and they're bowing and praising him for helping them kill thousands of people in God's name, Allah's gonna take His Holy food and squash those little shits to pulp, then drop them downwards, where their pathetic souls will hurtle towards taht OTHER place where they belong.
Why anyone in their right mind would sincerely belive that God wants them to kill lots of people in His name is beyond me...(sigh)
