Ok, for those of you who have been enjoying this Lent, a question... As you know, I had a little fun with Cheryl, and gave her the blah's and borks. But after this got old, and everyone had their laughs, I recended it all back on the 7th. Giving her back her freedom to post on here.

But, just today, the following was spewed elsewhere on the internet by Cheryl:

quote:

I don't think I'm banned from there. (I better not be! LOL!) It's just everything I wrote on there was turned into the words, Blah, Blah, Blah & then that was taken off & everything I wrote on there turned into Bork, Bork, bork. I suspect this crap will continue all thru Lent. I don't give up writing on any Arlo sites for nobody not even Lent. The church we go to doesn't celebrate Lent so I'm not too familiar with it. Once I get the borks taken off of me there I'll be back on there as usual. I just want to enjoy Arlo stuff & have fun!

Folks forget that Uncle Arlo sees & knows everything that goes on. He knows everything that is going on.

Believe me if I were banned from any Arlo sites, I would raising such a stink & complaint & some butts would be kicked. Nobody stops me LOL! Plus Uncle Arlo would be very upset. I don't think anyone would want to upset Uncle Arlo!

Now, as many of you know... I really hate being told what I can and can't do. Usually, telling me I can't do something quickly results in me proving you wrong. But, not this time. I figured I'd show a little restraint... Instead, I'll leave it up to the general public. So, if you were in my position, what would you do?

Spewed is the perfect descriptive verb, Dave. I'd seen that, as well as the previous similar posts that got edited. I applaud your restraint. Since Kim's marvelous idea was enacted after my original post, I will try to show similar restraint and refrain from posting my opinion.

Although - wasn't Fitzy's post about extending Lent HILARIOUS?! Image

Thanks for unblahing me & unborking me! I really appreciate it! *S* It was so horrible for me cuz I really needed to share some Arlo info with folks & wish some folks happy BD & all. This was one of the worst times of my life. Yucky! Image

Just want to let folks know that my quote on the other site wasn't about ARLONET at all but was about any Arlo sites in general & was in answer to someone elses question. I was just stating how upset I'd be if I were ever banned from any Arlo related site. As you can imagine if something like that ever happened to me it would really upset me big time.

& this quote:

quote:

I write on websites when I feel like it, not when someone dictates to me when I can or can't LOL!

That wasn't directed to Dave either. Wanted to make that clear so he won't be upset with me or anything.

I enjoy being on this site & have fun here too. So I hope folks don't think those quotes were directed at Dave cuz they weren't. So if anyone was upset by them I sure hope they weren't as they weren't directed at Dave. It is hard having your quotes on other places online being scrutinized by others because then folks take something the wrong way that you've written & you're then afraid to share some stuff for fear of folks taking what you say the wrong way. I probably should've replied to the person via e-mail but figured there might be some other folks interested in knowing too.

So I just wanted to clarify things & let folks know that these 2 quotes weren't about Dave so no one is upset with me. I'd hate for folks to be upset over something that wasn't directed at them. & also wanted to thank Dave for unblahing me & unborking me! I am sooo glad to be back to normal. I told Mike that one thing I know is that if our church ever celibrates Lent, we're outta there LOL!

Most folks in my shoes would've been pretty pissed off LOL! But I chose to try to be nice in the midst of a very difficult situation for me. Which can be hard esp considering I was going thru PMS at the same time & bad sinus troubles & allergy flareups LOL!

Anyway, I'm sorry if folks mistunderstood my quotes & mistakenly thought them to be about Dave. I probably should've clarified what they were about but had no idea folks would mistake the comments as being about Dave or be upset. I must say he is very good at computer doing & I wish I had his expertise when it comes to stuff like that. Anyway, I just want to have fun with everyone & be friendly with folks & I'm sure we can all be friendly cuz it's not hard to do. Not for me anyway. *S*

I feel there are alot more important stuff to worry about instead of what I say online, like Batty & Kitty Wests problems, & the fact that Arlo hasn't yet booked any gigs for near VA this yr which is sad. & I found out some wonderful news! Arlo is coming to the Keswick in Nov & we're going & have 2nd row seats! PRAISE GOD, that is the best news I've heard all year! Just knowing I will get to see Arlo this yr brings a joy that I can't describe & that if I could I'd love for everyone to experience that joy too!

So anyway, just glad to be among you all again & wanted to clarify what I said & reaasure folks it wasn't about Dave. So now back to your regularly scehdule program Aliens In Berkshire County... Image

Forgot to mention that I had no idea that the blahs & borks were recinded on the 7th. Had I known that, I would've been writing on here sooner. Image But I was afraid to write until I was sure it would all be real English again. LOL! Image

cheryl, i don't think anyone here or there wishes you ill. but, you got some serious
problems and need to address them...hopefully
somewhere other than here.

you remind me of the type of person that
takes a shot at someone, then appologizes
for missing.

best wishes on your journey.

cheryl... of course that quote was about arlonet and dave..unless you've been "borked and blahed" on other arlo sites. it's insulting to everyone here to imply that we're stupid enough to believe that. at some point in time, if you truly don't want to upset and/or annoy people, you might want to think about taking responsiblity for things that you say, instead of pretending that you were misunderstood. also, you might want to pay attention to todd's post...the man makes sense.

dave..i imagine you know my feelings on the matter. Image

I'm afraid the only solution to this conflict is a no holds bared WWF style cage match ,complete with black and blue tie-dyed thongs ,between Dave and Cheryl. I've already taken the liberty of contacting Gov. Jesse Ventura about being the special guest referee. I'm thinking Madison Square garden sometime in June.

Maybe (you, Cheryl and everyone else) just be cool. Let it go. Bad karma bites. Good karma grows.

I don't see why not, Larry. It could be pay-per-view fundraiser for the GC. Now, who gets to be the evil manager?

And since we celebrate Lent here at ArloNet, we'll assume you're outta here !

That was so well said that I just had to see it posted again. I used to be a very tolerant person. But then I came to the brutal realization that "just taking shit" is something that I didn't have to put up with. So, I don't anymore. I'm also positive that a lot of the things I'm seeing and hearing are coming directly from Sue and a few others who really seem to have this extreme hatred of myself (even though they are posting it). And if they tell you they don't have anything against me, then why did someone tell me that I was a big topic of discussion among the group at last year's church shows?

Putting a LOL or happy face after a mean comment doesn't really come across as kidding. Same thing about saying that wasn't what you meant. Regardless of if it was what you meant or not, it came across as mean and spiteful. You have to accept responsibility for that, and deal with any consequences that occur as a result of it. I'm done just sitting back and taking crap from people.

If that makes me the devil, so be it. If you treat me with respect, and kindness, the same will be returned to you.

Ok, that's all I'm gonna say for now...

Cool beans' Dave! Some people hide behind the flatness of the written word to re-define their intentions. We've poked at each other in the past, yet, if things were taken hard, we clarified em. the way it outta be!
A friend of mine has a poster that says
"Make no excuses, take no shit, tell no lies"
works for me.
Hang tough, Dave!
