So, Cheryl,

Is there really always a Guest #1 on arlonet or is it set up so there can't be less than 1 guest showing?

Who IS Guest #1? He/she sure doesn't get much<img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/zzz.gif" width=20 height=24>

Is Guest #1 not a person but kind of like a prenatal state? I mean, most of us were Guest #1 at some time, before we were born into the world of Blunderland. Can you remember anything from the time when you were Guest #1? Or did you spring, fully formed, from the brow of Arlo?

I'd say Guest #1 is the term for someone who is chekcing out the message boards but hasn't yet registered for the site. I noticed I never see a Guest #2, 3 4, & so on. I wonder if that means you only get one Guest at a time...

If I don't log in, the boards call me "Guest" so maybe it's just someone who is reading the boards but hasn't logged in yet. Or someone who isn't registered. Maybe we should all show up online and not log in for a little and see if we can get more than 1 Guest to be recognized!!

Once upon a time, I saw Guest 1 and Guest 2 on the board!

Of course, I may have been "seeing things" ... and that's why I started this "Once upon a time..." but wait... does this post belong on the STORY BOARD?

Cheryl, why do so many supermarkets now have a special customer card, is this some plot to find out who buys what and when?

Cheryl, I see form your post on another thread that you have lived through 0ne hurricane/flood and five tornados. How did you come through all of that and remain so normal?

I hope the cards at supermarkets are to save us money but they could be a marketing plpoy too.

The Hurricane/Flood was the big one in '72. I was going to school in Richmond & stayed there thru it. It was mainly flooded streets & you couldn't really go out but I sure hope I never go thru another one.

The tornados thankfully didn't hit our house but in one of them I did get hit with hail really bad & almost sucked up & later someone told me that was a tornado. One other tornado didn't hit too bad around my house but it did knock a tree thru my aunt & uncles house. That made the paper & the news. Another one hit up by the side of the house. The lights flickered on & off. Boy did we pray. Thankfully all that was damaged was some wind chimes that I had had on my front porch. Ripped them all to bits. & The there was the great Walmart tornado of 1993 where it hit the Colonial Heights Walmart & destroyed it. I had a friend who worked there at the time & was in it & thankfully didn't get injured. Mike was in it across the street at a mall after getting off of work & thankfully didn't get injured. I was here at home & the lights flickered on & off the the skies got dark & the emergency broadcast system come on the radio warning there was a tornado. Fortunately it didn't hit the house but the lights flickered & I saw dark clouds out the window. It was scary. I've been lucky that the tornados were no worse than what they were. I just try to hang in there...

I'd say you are awake if you're not real sleepy...
