well, its late and i'm really too fucking tired to get into this right now but i want to add just a couple of points...first of all shannon, what started this originally was you seemed to have a problem with two very gentle hints from rb and ceashel, to move your poetry post into the blunder forum. no one demanded that it be moved nor insisted on it...you then moved it with what appeared to be somewhat of a temper tantrum. that is why i posted originally...then our resident trouble-maker, bumper decided to jump on your cause. you see, it seems that whenever bumper decides that someone at arlonet isn't being "free" to do whatever they want he starts singing civil rights songs...i think its unfortunate that this thread has turned into this but those things happen sometimes.

and gary...are you slumming again? i mean you like to laugh at how stupid you think blunderites are and yet when it suits whatever purpose you have at the moment, you're here?

Ok I am stating my peace and going to bed.

1. Shannon if you just started with the damn apology in the first place instead of the whinning and bitching this wouldnt have been an issue. If Kim was rude to you that is her right and you probably deserved it anyway due to the fact that kim, despite what bumper thinks, rarely blasts people unless the are being stupid.

2. Bumper for the love of god--STOP with the quoting of Raggae songs. What in the hell would a middle aged white male know about "redemption song"? It is annoying and is getting really damn old. I understand you are here to make sure everyone has there free speech or whatever, but why not just go to stars site where no one fights and cyber sex is had by all.

okay, this isn't about arlo, but it's about thanksgiving which is arlo's holiday, so it's close enough for me. i got this by e-mail, so you may have seen it, too. if you did, i apologize, but i thought it was cute.

A Thanksgiving Poem.

It was the night of Thanksgiving, but I just couldn't sleep.
I tried counting backwards, I tried counting sheep.
The leftovers beckoned - the dark meat and white,
But I fought the temptation with all of my might.
Tossing and turning with anticipation,
The thought of a snack became infatuation.
So, I raced to the kitchen, flung open the door
And gazed at the fridge, full of goodies galore.
I gobbled up turkey and buttered potatoes,
Pickles and carrots, beans and tomatoes.
I felt myself swelling so plump and so round,
'Til all of a sudden, I rose off the ground.
I crashed through the ceiling, floating into the sky
With a mouthful of pudding and a handful of pie.
But I managed to yell as I soared past the trees...
Happy eating to all - Pass the cranberries, please.
May your stuffing be tasty, May your turkey be plump,
May your potatoes'n gravy have nary a lump,

this is poetry,,right?? and to me all things are guthrie..and that's not fandom i speak of..

some of you know my sister georgia..she lost one of two sons ten years ago when a car hit a tree..my youngest is named michael phoenix after that child..one died as one was born..

georgia never really came back from that night..not wholly!

the sunday before last..her remaining son hit a tree head on..he's being preped for surgery as i type this..he's not responding to treatment..and has been downgraded...

my wife, and three of my sons are with him...georgia, like many wonderful working mothers is tending bar..listening to fools
as she worrys...

she gave me a book of her poetry in 98..just finally read it..here's one..it's arlo poetry to me.......

Though I Love Kerourac

I like to rhyme and chime
and fuck with words...
to the dismay of the darkest of poets.
Who scoff at me and my simplicity.
What! with me rhyming like a child?
My savant side, showing idiot's pride
needs rhythmic drumming of words
to ease the wind.
