It's finally October, my favorite time of the year. I like other times too, but this is special. Maybe it's the vibrant colors around the Northeast, maybe more. I don't know. A good cup of coffee, and some working cameras makes it very nice.

I get up before it's light, and get ready for the day. You never know what it'll bring. One thing's for sure, and that is it's not too long before November. So time to enjoy the season, as brief as it is.

Couldn't agree more! I wait all year for this time of the year . Oct,Nov,Dec! It's strange how just a short visit for me reignites me and gets me through the rest of the year. I'll be up this week and stay in the Berkshires just visiting and looking no agendas. If the weather permits I'll head up to the top of Greylock and spend some time there.

I have listened to Woody's song about Fred Trump, do you have feelings about this song?

I loved the movie Alice's Restaurant, so you may guess I am not a spring chicken. I am 73 this year so been a fan for a while.

The 60's were wild. :)

Just got back from my trip to the Inn and the Berkshires and had a blast! Weather was perfect had plenty of Sun and cool /cold nights. Spent half the day Wed. On Greylock it was wonderful. Got back in enough time to stop by Taft Farms they have some of the greatest Farm to Table products around!. Did a good bit of driving around was super surprised to see someone cleaned up the old Aspinwall Stables off rt 7 in Lenox spent a great deal of time there growing up. Seriously was one of my best visits. Red Lion Inn has been doing some renovations and have added a great feature to the Hallway on the second floor. They've blown up shots of their guest book and show the signatures of all the famous people who have come thru and stayed or eaten at the INN . Pretty amazing.

If I were inclined to toss in a name for this month’s full moon, I might call it The Fat Squirrel Moon!

Acorns everywhere. It’s great!

Not that I am wanting to shoot one (thinking of the Hunter’s Moon name this month too as it is) Though I understand that.
Honestly, I was just happy for the squirrels for a minute
