Yes, it's pretty good, really .. a two dog movie, at least, and some movies dont have any dogs at all ... movies WITH dogs usually do better at the box office, Im thinking ... me, I jsut like to point at the screen and semi-silnetly yell, "DOG!", whenever I see one ... I dont spill my popcorn or anything though ... most of the time ...

I will look into the TDTCBB scene more closely, and report back any findings. I may have seen it befour, and jsut forgot ... the download speed and resolution on the ol' thinker/looker/percepter here, it kinda comes and goes. Dogs sometimes do have more important things to do than being movie stars, and you sure can't blame them for that. And as I learned from the Story of Fasha the Dog that I discovered here in the meantime, Fasha has many and varied interests. Well not all that many ro varied, i guess, but in any case, other interests. I will try to keep exploring the parameters and possibilities.

Hi, Ceashal! I live in Old San Antonio. And I did not know that, Im ashamed to say ... I will definitely try to make it to at least one fo those not-too-far-away cities, for the show. Probably austin, since it is half the distance, and I have more freinds up there. Used to live there, actually, for many years .. lived in Houston for a few months in the early '90s. Have spent a little time in Dallas (but woodent want to live there - no offense). My Dad was from Greenville, TX, witch is jsut about an hours drive NE of Dallas, going towrads Texarkana ... but Im guessing you knew that ... about where Greenville is, not about my Dad, of course. Thanks for the welcome! Hope to keep poking my head in and blundering around some.

Please note that I am pretty severely "dystypic", I try to correct as much as I can ... but if I correct everything, I will proably (a word I have a lot of trouble with, right there ... I mean I KNOW how to spell it, I jsut cant type it, on the first try ... and "just" always comes out "jsut" for me, or sometimes even "sjut" ) ... if it's a problem for anybody, jsut pull me by the ear and let me know (knwo).

PS, sorry if it seems like I am "camping out here", the last day or so ... I logged on last night to reply to the posts here, and when I tried to post I got a "General Error" message, that told me to contact adminsitrator, which I tried to do, bu that didnt seem to work out ... the mail came back as undeliverable ... and then I couldnt get back to the forums or the home page of the site, all I wood get was the "error" messege again .. so I couldnt even log off and finally gave up and went to bed. And then forgot to come back and log off again this morning. So thats why it mighta looked like I was here, the whole time ... I wasnt. But I intend to be ... I mean, sometimes.

AllAmericanKid--don't worry about the posting problems or spelling or anything like that. We're a pretty loose bunch as far as that goes. I lived in Austin from 1973-79 and came to Dallas for an overwhelming reason that still (thank goodness) exists. It's called love. (The blame falls on Cliffite, a.k.a. Jay.)

We'll keep in touch and then in March you can find out just how nutso the rest of the Texas group can be. (Beware ...)

Yeah, that "love" thing can be pretty overwelming at times, I agree ... maybe all the time.

When Arlo came to perform in my area, (Interlochen School of the Arts, Interlochen Michigan), I naturally assumed that he would be signing autographs after the show......... and I was correct. (He signed my 12-string guitar,..... too cool!!!).

But BEFORE she show,... I had attempted to find a quick amusing topic-of-discussion to amuse him with, and that's what I came up with.

I asked him as he was signing my guitar,.....

....."I have a question about the movie"

"Shoot" ... he said

....."Where was Fascha the dog"?



He thought for a moment and I THINK he was attempting to come up with a witty response and wasn't able to. Having NOT been able to think up a good punch-line, he responded a little sternly...

..... he said... "I didn't write the movie,..... I couldn't tell ya".

Well,.... I wasn't able to make Arlo giggle,..... I guess I could have come up with something more amusing to ask him.....

..... But I DO have his signature on my guitar, and a photo of us... afterward. (And the signatures of "The Mammals", as well).

Too cool.

Makes no nevermind to me, as long as it comes from the heart........the latter is always good. This is a really cool place, this Blunderland. I mean......I Mean......where else can one find a thread about a dog that may or may not have existed weave such an interesting and entertaining tapestry???

I had wondered where the dog was, too. I don't think s/he is mentioned in the commentary either, which is otherwise full of insightful comparisons of the movie and "real life." I'm starting to think maybe that Thanksgiving turkey wasn't really a turkey.
