Haven't read through all the posts. Hope this one's not been posted before:

Original: Sweet Home Alabama / Lynyrd Skynyrd

Cover: SHA / Nirvana

another cover of a cover I posted earlier

I got a Bob Wills as the originator but it ain't so. The originator (well as far as I know) had something in common with the Commander (Cody that is), and that was a fondness of the evil weed! Any other guesses (c'mon Agnes, give it another shot! I don't think you can google the answer unless you are really persistent!)

Another Hint: he rarely left the Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas area.

motown's hard rock cover band (and they could put on a really great show in 1973 for a young lad looking to score)...the version of this on the live album is really excessively good and worked many a youthful party back in the goodle days.

this one is not a cover but was another of those bands from that time that joined many a party cranked up through the 8 track with the power booster and the Jenson coaxial speakers down on the Canadian River Shore.

(click on that Johnny winter as that was a common song too although it is really an Edgar song)
