Nice try Leo...Morrison could never write anything really meaningful,..just superficially abstract..or abstract superficiality. it's..."3rd Week at The Chelsea....The Jefferson Airplane."

Psychedelia for 200:

"Anger, he stands towering in shiny metallic purple armor,..Queen jelousy, envy waits behind him her firey green gown sneers at the grassy ground, Blue are the life giving waters taken for granted,..they quietly understand"

who wrote this little diddy?

Love is but the song we sing,
And fear's the way we die
You can make the mountains ring
Or make the angels cry
Know the dove is on the wing
And you need not know why
C'mon people now,
Smile on your brother
Ev'rybody get together
Try and love one another right now
Some will come and some will go
We shall surely pass
When the one that left us here
Returns for us at last
We are but a moments sunlight
Fading in the grass
C'mon people now,
Smile on your brother
Ev'rybody get together
Try and love one another right now
If you hear the song I sing,
You must understand
You hold the key to love and fear
All in your trembling hand
Just one key unlocks them both
It's there at your command
C'mon people now,
Smile on your brother
Ev'rybody get together
Try and love one another right now
Right now
Right now!

and, the song Baba O'Riley
THis song is the namesake of what two people who were major influences on Pete Townsend when he wrote it?

When I hear "Get Together," it's Jesse Colin Young I hear singing it (with The Youngbloods -- and for a real hoot, see them with Uncle Miltie at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NbQ5rHzr ... re=related
), but I did have to go look up who wrote it (Chet Powers) and learned it was recorded by both The Byrds and The Kingston Trio, and what looks like many more.

Here is one.

You can't run away forever, but there is nothing wrong with getting a good head start. I treasure your love, I want to show you how to use it.
Keep on believing, there is always something magic. That's when...

The angles had guitars even before they had wings.

Remember ever thing that I have told you.

the thought of W kissing Barbra was enough to kill the thread (not to mention 16 pages)
