Just start a conversation or two by saying "Hi, I'm Purpledragon on the arlonet boards," and pretty soon you'll meet a lot of people you know from the boards. (Or listen for names you recognize and then accost those people, so to speak.)

BTW, are you a member of the Guthrie Center? If you want tickets to an Arlo event at the Church, it's highly recommended that you be one. Members get advance notice and preference on "ticket" availability. Membership costs a very worthwhile donation of $25. See "Guthrie Center" in the gray bars at the left for details.

is it hard to get tickets to shows at the church?
I'm going to make a few phone calls this week and maybe put some plans into motion.

We'll just say it was a red indian LOL it had to have been 20 years ago so I really don't remember.

I did not keep a setlist in my head this time because I was not feeling all that great that night even during the VIP reception meet and greet with Arlo. I did not stay for the encore I stormed out! I got so aggravated with some obnoxious college students screaming crap very rudely out loud to Arlo and I just wanted to yell "shut up" to that guy.I came to hear Arlo perform not hearing childlish behavior from other attendants. Also there was one girl that was too close to the stage with a cell phone camera snapping pix of Arlo, that was not right, I did not like the security at the Zoo. Right now I am not feeling all that great

I was not to happy with that guy that kept yelling to Arlo either and that took a lot of nerve for that girl to go up to the stage with her cell phone.

I am not attending anymore shows at that Zoo. Security did not do a damn thing about those kids, security did not do their jobs correctly. Those kids should have been thrown out! I am going to write an email to the administrator of special events and give them a piece of my mind about security. They need to get their heads up out of their peep holes and start doing a more better job in controlling obnoxious concert goers and for the ones getting too close to the stage in taking pictures.
Those same kids were dancing near the stage not sitting in the audience, that was an Arlo concert, not American Bandstand

We didn't think they were very professional either.... Amateur sound system and the above mentioned problems. We won't be coming back... Just not the standards to handle a national touring act. So much for that one

I don't blame you for not coming back to the Zoo Arlo. The peacocks should take over as security and be trained to attack idiots until they bleed like in the Hitchcock movie "The Birds"

Arlo's no Axel Rose. I remember about 12 ,13 years ago at the Appel Farm Fest a thunderstorm approaching. He complained that he was asked to announce the coming storm and advise anyone who wanted to leave should do so even though he was the one sitting there surrounded by all the electrical equipment and HE had to stay.

Our trek to the church will only be 1,700 miles, each way (not counting a side trip to northern Vermont and another to the Cape). But this is our yearly pilgrimage, so it's not fair to compare.

I am still uncertain about going up to the Church in October. I told a particular person last Friday night that I was not going to attend under some economical circumstances, that is not the case.
