Well, at this point, as I'm sure you will agree ANY change is good! but I know what you are saying. Last election,I voted for Kerry and even for the very first time in my life, sent money to a campaign.....Kerry's. But even at that, I never thought Kerry was the best guy for the job.
Obama has been getting my attention. You gotta like a guy that says he will actually talk to our "enemies" and people who may not be our friends during a debate, and the other folks on the stage look at him like he's got three heads. I really hope as I see and learn more that I really support him rather than settle on him. He is closer to us(real people) than anyone else in the running in my view.

Ron Paul? Some good libertarian ideas sprinkled with a little too much GOP and seasoned with a pinch of crazy. He is at a point where he may move a few planks in the platform, but he won't be standing on it when it's over. But, as a social liberal and a bit more of a fiscal conservative with a few libertarian ideas, I do like some of the places he has moved the conversation.

Rudy? OUT!!!! Thank God. However, he did suck up to his buddy McCain......please don't chose him as a running mate John!

...i was sorry to see Edwards leave the campaign.... seemed he really changed over time... and was in a pretty good place to start... his energy is different now... maybe he becomes the activist we are happy is in a position to do something...

yesterday i heard a term applied to Hillary that spoke my confusing thoughts.... she is too much of a corporate Democrat... the Federal government running everything is not right, as Dr. Paul says, but even scarier to me is the merging and merging of corporations (remember the military-industrial complex of the 60's???)... seems like pretty soon about 10 corporations are going to be running this country and the government... unelected...

so... on to Barack... he speaks from his heart... it is open... and that energy is so much what I (we?) need...

You mean the military industrial complex isn't still around? We spend more on the military than all other nations combined. It won't go away the same as Einstein said, "No one in real power is ever going to end the cold war.'

Like you said, Dave his chances are pretty slim. Aside from that obviousness, the site is filled with so many diverse friends and family members supporting everyone all over the map, it's probably something better left to the imagination than to a banner. Everyone here seems to be pretty friendly sharing their own views (my included). Let's keep it that way...

i believe! i believe that ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE! especially till the fat lady sings. and until that day, i believe that ron paul has great chances outside the mainstream two party brainwashing we have grown accustomed to. i voted for perot twice for the same reasons. total reform and real change! he didn't quite make it either, and he had a bit of a silly character and terrible speaking ability working against him. but in spite of that, he pushed hard and caught 20% of the vote outside the two party power lock. that's a hell of a lot of popularity! so what i am saying is that he still has a great chance to get to 20% and an equally great chance at this stage of the "game", to shift the way people are thinking. EVEN and especially those who have already made up their minds ahead of "time".

I'm not sure other world leaders would like Mrs. Paul as a first lady though. I mean can you imagine those big fancy state dinners where all they served were fishsticks?

Obama '08!

I'm still not decided. I still need to see more of Obama. I don't get to see as much as you. I've known Hils for a long time (haven't we all)and have read alot about her also.
Obama has been an actual politician longer than her, but she's been involved in politics decades longer.
The U.S. of A. needs help in a big way. He sounds very genuine, but I think Hils knows more about running The Office, and she has more Global experience.
That's how I see it from this side of the Pacific Pond.
But as I say I'm not fully decided. Obama being half white and half black or Hils being a woman has no bearing on my decision. Either way it's history in the making and I'm sure glad to be part of it.

Wall Street Journal Washington Wire online and every other blog that talks politics say that Arlo is endorsing Dr. Paul. Funny thing is all the quotes come directly from a post Arlo made in this thread in October. Depends which one you read as to what the truth is...
