Hi guys and gals,

I just purchased a ticket to see Arlo in April at Carmel and was wondering what the odds of him playing "Coming into Los Angeles" were. I just absolutely love that song, and figured he played it at every show, but I guess he doesn't. My question is how frequently does he play it? I'll still have a good time even if he doesn't, but that would be icing.

Also, I saw someone say he took pictures with fans. Is that typical of every concert, or a rare thing?

Thanks

Welcome to the site! He has done Coming Into LA at alot of the shows of his I have been to so I think you have a very good chance of hearing it. Maybe he will read this & be inspired to do it at the show. You never know. :) He is really nice to folks & usually is glad to pose for pics. h is such a nice guy & I know you will enjoy the show. Have fun at the show...

Here is a nice pic of Arlo on a site advertising his upcoming Durham, NC show...

Thanks for the response. I'd love to be able to get my picture with him. It doesn't look like a large venue, so it seems reasonable for him to do it.

Here's some pics from an Arlo concert we went to. We decided to wait by the bus after the concert. We had to wait awhile, but it was because he was inside doing a meet and greet.

Are these meet and greets something that anyone can show up to at the end of the concert, or are they raffled off or given to VIP?

Arlo does meet and greets pretty often, and when he does, it's lots of fun and you probably can get a picture with the man, or get an Arlograph. If I'm not mistaken, the venue sometimes makes the meet and greet a 'VIP event' ... that usually happens when the show is done as a benefit. Once in a while, it will happen that there isn't a meet and greet - this could be for many reasons - venue restrictions, or maybe Arlo has an occasional off night. (That happened in Beaver Creek CO last year - traveling from the east coast to an altitude of 12000 feet can mess you up!) So basically, I'd suggest hanging around after the show.... see if you can find out from the "get stuff" table whether a meet and greet is planned.... but foremost... ENJOY THE SHOW!

Thanks for the tips everyone. I'm looking foward to the show, and even if he doesn't do a meet and greet, I'll still have a great time. It's in Carmel which is an absolutely beautiful city, and the venue looks pretty cool also, so I don't see how I can't have a good time.

Sounds like I've been having the same nightmare as you. I've had nightmares before where I went to Arlo shows & forgot my camera. So far I haven't done that in real life yet...

I've seen Arlo 7 times and he's done this song and several times even the funny story about the guy standing on the runway sniffing out his seat (36C) everyime I've seen him. Last night he mixed it up a bit and added a hilarious bit about people disappearing into the time tunnel that came out to the plane door...lol
