Opossum

If possible, trap possum and feed it on milk and cereals for 10 days before killing. Clean, but do not skin. Treat as for pig by immersing, unskined, in water just below boiling point. When hair plucks out easily remove possum from water and scrape. Remove red glands in back and under forelegs. Parboil one hour then roast as for pork. Serve with Turnip greens.

I've also got recipes for Bear, Racoon, Woodchuck. Beaver, Beaver tail,Peccary, Wild Boar and Squirrel.

Just don't ask me to cook 'em or eat 'em.

If you lived here you could have Possum, Emu, Kangaroo, Bandicoot. There is also Sea Turtle and Dugong but only the Aboriginal People are allowed to eat those.

Of coure Vegemite Soup is also very tasty.

Anyone remember Ovaltine? I hated that stuff...! It was supposed to taste like cocoa, but it mostly tasted like vitamins. It was widely advertised and foisted off on kids in the late 50's. I think it's still around, but I never bought any for my kids.

Ever wonder why they call it "oval" tine? The glass is round, the jar is round... they should call it "roundtine."

Yep, I remember it well... I've even bought it recently. Not too bad.

Then we wouldn't be able to oval out our day. hee hee

I remember it too, along with that popcorn in it's own foil container. The commercials showed it puffing up as it cooked. I was fascinated by it.

If you did that and flavored the postum with vegemite, I'm quite sure that the Bush administration would bomb you because that does meet the threshhold of a weapon of mass destruction. And if Bush didn't do it I WOULD! :)

I think Jiffy Pop is still around. I stopped buying it after I had two disadvantages with the product. Number one a long time ago I went to the beauty parlor to have a hot oil treatment done on my hair with an aluminium cap over my head under the dryer and 15 minutes later my head was popping out popcorn  Number two I had a nightmare about leaving Jiffy Pop on the stove and suddenly it turned into the robotic blob and out jumped the popcorn kernels and they grew monsterious and tried to attack me!!!!

agnes, it's kinda like listening to Alice's Restaurant. "But I thought it was a song about a restaurant, or at least about Alice!"

Getting off-topic is why we're called blunderites.
