In the 1960s, George Bush joined the Air National Guard to avoid being in Vietnam.

Tomorrow, he's going to Vietnam to avoid being in Washington.

LOL! Alot of folks did that. I have a cousin who was a hippie back then & he did that to avoid Nam. he said the Army sergeants were hard on them cuz they knew they were in the Gaurd just to get outta the war & were hippies. I wonder if Dubya ever went thru a hippie phase. He doesn't seem like the type tho lol..

Who ever said hippie was a phase? Anyway, dubya went through a fratboy phase, from which he has yet to emerge .

LOL. I didn't mean to imply that beiong a hippie was just a phase. For some like my cousin it was but for others it's a real lifestyle. I think hippies are neat... :)

Well, I'm a hippie and I'm not neat! I don't shave, I wear wrinkled T-shirts and jeans and don't shine my boots. I don't even own a suit. But I do have a neck tie with the Starship Enterprise on it. "Dubya" seems more like the type that would have beat on hippies....provided he had a bunch of good ol' boys backin' him up and there was only one hippie. A very small hippie......with crutches......in a body cast.....tied to a tree.

When I said hippies were neat I mean neat like cool l't expalin myself that good.ol. Guess I didn't explain myself that good. At my parents house I was gonna change channels on the tv to re-runs of the Partridge Family. My dad said don't you dare change it cuz Dubya was on Fox News. He said if I wanted to watch it I'd have to go to the other room. I mean I like him but the Partridge Family was more important. LOL...
