If you listen to many different
folksingers, you will notice that some of them sound "country" such as Woody and Arlo
Guthrie, Tom Paxton, and Ramblin Jack Elliot,
and some of them don't such as Pete Seeger,
Kingston Trio, and Peter Paul & Mary.
I believe that the first group should be
called country-folk singers instead of just
folksingers. I have trouble understanding
why the country aspect of these folksingers
is ignored.

Did you know that they had a celebration
for Woody Guthrie in Ryman auditorium in
Nashville? (Nashville celebrates Woody.)
Did you know that Arlo Guthrie appeared
on Country Music Television?
Did you know that Ramblin Jack Elliot
did duets with country singers?
Did you know that Tom Paxton performed
with the Burns Sisters?
And did you know that Arlo Guthrie
performed with Shennandoah?

What do these questions tell you?
