FINALLY, we can legitimately post on the B-r-r-r Good Morning page! It's been in the teens and 20s and we actually got snow on Wednesday, and Chuck and Connie (and most of S. Texas) got snow on Christmas eve! Victoria, Tex., got a foot of snow--the only other snow there was a tenth of an inch in 1973 and a tenth of an inch on Christmas 1918. Wouldn't you love to see the kids there this morning! (Though they'll have to be up and playing in it early--it will melt by afternoon.)

We need prayers here in VA. They are talking about snow tomorrow & we need to go to Walmart, Target & K-Mart to get the Christmas decorations half off. & We had planned to go to church too. If I can't go to get the Christmas stuff on sale I'm gonna be mad LOL! They don't postpone the sales when it snows & if you can't get out due to snow the greedmongers get out in it & buy them up so you can't have none lol. Plus we are at my folks & if stranded here only have enough meds for tomorrow am & no more... Yikes... So we need the snow to hit after 4 pm if it comes... I have no idea what time it really is now cuz 4 diffetn clocks & one watch & one puter all give different times LOL! Have a good after Christmas kids... <img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/smile.gif" width=15 height=15>

Fortunately the snow hasn't hit yet. I did see two cars with snow on them so it must not be far off. So I got to go to the Christmas decorations sales thank God. Can't afford to pay full price for the stuff & have to go when it's half off the day after Christmas or hit up cheap places like Big Lots so this was a blessing. Went to Target, Walmart & K-Mart. Got wrapping paper, tags & boxes which I needed. I needed some extra chaser lights & bubble lights so if mine go out I don't have to pay full price for them & was able to find more chaser & bubble lights. A blessing cuz those are so hard to find. Needed some more light stakes & got some of those. Needed some antique style glass ornaments as I use those & need extras in case any break. I also got a Charlie Brown figure... Stuff looked picked over as if folks got some of the good stuff & would't leave it for those who can't afford to get it until it goes half off.

Tried to get together with a friend for the sales & got to playing phone tag trying to get ahold of her via cell phone. She wanted to go to the sales & then wasn't gonna go. The ended up in Target after we left so we missed her. Oh well. We ate breakfast at Shoneys & went to church. It can now snow cuz we are thru going for the day & we're not going anywhere tomorrow. Have a good day kids & enjoy the snow... <img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/smile.gif" width=15 height=15>

Morning Wyldflower and Cheryl, and anyone else who passes this way.
hope things are holding up for you all.

I found this while I was looking for Christmas gifts, if anyone wants to take their mind of stuff for a while.

Old Hippy New Year to Everyone!! (Beverly, you can leave the old part off)

I was gonna post at New year our time which was 9 hours ago but at 20 to midnight the power went off!!

Anyway we had a nice dinner, then John made Ollie Bollen, a traditional Dutch New Years Eve delight. A type of dough with yeast into which you mix chopped apple or raisins and drop into hot oil then they puff up, crunchy on the outside and soft inside and not oily if cooked right he is good at it (you should try his stir-fry..)

Then dispite private firework use being illegal here we went out to watch fireworks. We live in a semi rural area no street lights etc and it's great to watch except the poor animals don't like it. We get a chourus of dogs, horses, cattle, donkeys and some birds all at once!

Anyway good vibes to you and all the creatures and plants of the earth and hopes that the human made and nature made disasters will be much less this year....
