a veteran blunderer that some of you may know....although Kate (formerly Brooker) has been a long time Arlo fan and attended many concerts at the Church and Carnegie and all over for many years.....she has not been around for a couple of years....
....she wrote me that shehas been ill and is battling cancer (lung and bone) living in an assisted living center in her home state of Maine.....she asked me to let folks know and would love to hear from anyone......her email is

....i got an email from Kate tonight .... she is back in the hospital again.... they are readjusting her chemo because she is so weak......she has her laptop with her which is of some comfort......

...she wrote that she understands that she is a quiet blunderer and didn't talk to many others and not that many know her.....but she really enjoys emails....
..so i am asking those of you who would comfortable sending her even a short email, though you may not know her.....to do that.....it's a connection that means as much to her now as it ever did.... as it does to many of us......good vibes....

Hello to all of you that I have met and all of those that have passed by on their way to someplace else. Some names sound familiar, but names are never as easy to recall as faces.Until two years ago I used to come to the Church often, since the beginning years. I found peace and much joy there among the music and the love. I thank you all for the thoughts and vibes that you all sent my way and I appreciate knowing that you would take the time just to say any small thing and send good vibes in my direction. It hasn't been easy, but mostly life never is. Sometimes its just harder than others. Today is a beautiful late summer/early fall day and the sun is beaming through the windows here at the hospital. I will take my second treatment of radiation therapy tomorrow. A few months ago I went through a round of chemotherapy that was not effecive, and then after that I took two months of the newest wonder drug suppose to stop cancer in its tracks like nothing before it has done--naw, it didn't work either. So the radiation is next. I hear it will be like a little spot welding job where the bones are fused back together again in places that have fallen apart. Now we shall see how that works. In any case, I will give it a try and see if the welder has more success than the drug guy. You never know these days.
Keep the blunder vibes coming-I truly appreiate your good thoughts and wishes and love you all.
