Post subject: Thanks again all over

I saw the news today that Peter Jennings died of lung cancer. He was just diagnosed back in January.

My dad was diagnosed in February. He's doing well. The heat combined with having lost part of a lung and having mild emphasyma makes breathing a little difficult for him at times, at least if he is out in the heat at all. But my parents and sister and brother-in-law all went to London (about 2 weeks before the 1st bombings, whew!) and then Ireland, and he did great - walked all over the place.

And it made me realize all over again how very lucky we got with this, and how much I feel God was watching over us. You know Peter Jenning had the money to get the best care out there, and still he died. What saved my father was that his doctor was so on the ball and got it diagnosed early, that everyone pushed hard on this to get him through testing and into surgery as quickly as possible, and all the good wishes and prayers from everyone.

So, as I say a prayer for Peter Jennings and his family, and another prayer of thanks for my dad, I also wanted to say thanks again to all of you. I truly believe that all your blundervibes and prayers helped a lot!!

Thanks again.

So glad your Dad is doing so well! There are plenty of "Keep it up!" vibes on the way. <img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/smile.gif" width=15 height=15>

You know, I was thinking of Peter Jennings yesterday afternoon. I didn't know why. It's not like I knew him--he was just the newsman I watched. I was wondering how he was, and then I woke up to the news of his death this morning. Sometimes I get these little advance "inklings"....Vibes are going out to his family, too.

Kim, I'm so glad your dad's doing well.

Judy, here we call those "inklings" "premonitions" and I get them a lot... it's not fun. I was thinking about Peter Jennings on Friday when he still hadn't returned to his anchor chair and I wondered aloud if he ever would. He had promised us back in April that he would be back to anchor as he felt up to it. I missed him that night more than other nights. Now I know why. Judy, be mindful of those inklings ... they do mean something!

Kim, as Judy said, the Blundervibes have continued and still do. I'm so glad that he can "go and do" with your family. Our best B-Vibes to you all.
