Thanks everyone. Just got back from the hospital. They're just doing meds. It's not entirely good news. The reason is that doing the angioplasty would damage her kidneys which are operating at only 40% of optimal function for her age. She doesn't know that and thinks it's just because the blockage isn't bad, and it really isn't all that bad. So, we have to get her to a kidney specialist without scaring her to death. She's feeling OK, though and overall things are going pretty well.

Pat, I'm so sorry to hear that kind of news. Same happened with my dad during the winter. They thought he had prostate cancer but wouldn't do anything invasive because of his heart and emphysema. Luckily, the catheter worked over a period of several months, it wasn't cancer and he's feeling much better now.

Best wishes to your mom.

Prayers just said... My dad had that non-cancerous prostrate stuff some yrs back & they thought he'd have to wear a catheter bag. Fortunately they were able to do this new surgery on him & he was able to get rid of the catheter bag...

Vibes...

Thanks to all of you. She's home now and happy to be here. Seems to be doing all right. I know the blundervibes helped immensely.

Hi Pat, Glad your Mom is home. I mentioned this thread to Reg and she reminded me we had met your Mom at Ocean City. Nice lady. We'll keep the blundervibes coming. Love JohnC
