You will get through this Sherry, and so will Mom. I've called Drakes and I have a truck load of Yodels on standby just in case you need them.

Whew! Yuck! No fun at ALL. Too bad they don't make reclining wheelchairs--might have been a little less painful for you. Hope the drugs are good and you have no pain.

Glad your mom liked the oncologist--hope the news continues to be as good as it can be.

Hope you get some results (and a resolution) to your own problems really soon. I agree with Terry--forget trying to be strong. Let the drugs do their work.

Meanwhile, many, many blundervibes headed your way for you all.

On second thought, I'm taking my drugs and, although the joint pain's getting better, the side effects aren't worth it. Either that, or every time I have a flare-up I get a stomach virus. Oh, well, this too shall pass, as someone said earlier.

I hope Sherry's pain pills are helping her and not causing any yucky side effects. I can't imagine how bad it is for her right now dealing with her own health and pain and trying to cope with a sick mom.

My best to you, Sherry, and to your mom. Trying to support each other in their own time of need must be really hard on everyone.

i'm sorry, but i can't control the thoughts that invade my mind with or without the brain cell... i'm just getting a smile while pondering the image of sherry scooting around on a reclining wheelchair, master of her domain!

go sherry go!

arnie...thanks for making me laugh out loud! you too larry....have drakes bring the truck to the back door around midnight..no one will ever know! <img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/smile.gif" width=15 height=15>

i am still pretty loopy from the demerol and the procedure but at least it's all behind me now (sorry for the pun).

i got thru the drinking...not very graciously and actually got some decent sleep last night and felt pretty good this morning.

i was up and showered and ready to go...they drugged me up and did their thing and i have vague memories of small pieces of it!

i ate more today than i've been able to in the last week also...(with yodels for dessert - thanks to larry and linda)and it was really nice to be able to chew something again! liquid diets are not for me!

i wont have results from this for a week but i'm going to call tomorrow and see if they have any results from the upper gi from last week.

mom is doing fine....waiting patiently for us to get back to town.

thanks again for all the love, blundervibes and support....you guys are the best.

Sherry,

I hope you are feeling better and your strong self, soon. And best wishes and good vibes to your mom, with a yay to Ken for being a terrific (I hope!) nurse.

Sherry, I'm glad you got through it with only vague memories and can laugh about it now. That's a good sign of relief. Liquid diets are so damned boring. Have a Dark Milky Way while you're at it.
