Hi folks,
linda here, posting under larry once again, Please keep Sherry & Ken, and Sherry's Mom in your prayers is all I can say at this time! We ALL know what the power of prayer CAn and WILL do!
I spoke with Sherry yesterday and when she's ready and has the time she will fill us all in!

Howdy folks,

Sorry for the delay in getting out here to post but I am having some of my own health issues and I just couldn't get to the computer again last night.

We found out yesterday that my mom has breast cancer. We caught it VERY early (thank god) and we have an appt with a surgeon this afternoon.

To complicate stuff, I have been having intense pain that we don't think is Crohne's related and I have been going for tests and pokes and prods etc and have an ultrasound scheduled for today to see if they can figure out what this 'thing' on my kidney is. They found all sorts of other stuff while they were looking around (CT scans will do that!) and I will follow up on that when we get through stuff with my mom.

For now, I'd like just not to be in pain and please focus your attention/prayers/blundervibes etc on my mom.

I'll make sure this thread stays current, even if I'm not the one posting!

Linda, thanks for starting the thread.

Arlo..thanks for this awesome family. Supoort doesn't get better than our blunderful community.

And to all of you out there....thanks!

I hope mom comes through this okay, and that you do so as well... it's my experience that the secret to stayin healthy is avoiding doctors (and hospitals, and their tests)... of course I could be wrong...

you're in my thoughts.

I have seen what Breast Cancer can do, and I really do hope that your mum will come through this, my thoughts are with her as they are with you. I hope that all your test prove nothing serious and that your pains will soon pass.

howdy...here is an update but it may be a bit loopy as the pain meds are starting to work...(i didnt want to take any til we met the surgeon)...it's looking like mom will have a lumpectomy on monday june 8th if we can get all the preliminary stuff done between now and then. that is ken's week off so we can both be here then. that will be followed by 5 weeks of radiation. the surgeon also said that we caught it very early and has nothing but optomism about her complete recovery.

they determined i have cyst on my kidney but it is nothing to worry about and is not what is causing the intense pain i'm in so we are back to thinking it may be the crohne's disease finding a new way to manifest itself. these symptoms are totally different than any i've dealt with in the past.

more news when we have some...

You all are in my heart, you know that. I'm glad the news for both of you wasn't worse, but I wish we could each take a little bit of what you are having to endure, then it wouldn't be so hard. I'm long-distance but at least Blundervibes and love aren't hindered by that. If there's anything else, just say the word. Love 'n' bunches of hugs,
