I lost everything I typed (YUCKOLA) so here goes again. I DARE the browser window to close down again. LOL!

Guess what my Chevy was in an Arlo news report! They had a news crew from WDBJ ch 7 here in Roanoke here & we went & asked them were they doing something on Arlo on the news & they were. They said they taped an interview with him earlier along with some of the sound check etc & were gonna have a reporter stand in ffront of the back of the Roanoke Civic Center & do a live report telling about the shows & how to egt tix & the time & then show the Arlo interview. We asked how could be see it explaining we were out of town & had no access to a tv. They told us we could go in the news van & watch it. They played it on thew tape machine monitors for us. Cool! He talked about his music & Woody some & they showed some of the sound check. They showed him talking with no sound coming out which was cool & pretty funny LOL! We watched the repot do his live report on the show. In the background were some parked cars & my blue Chevy Lumina was one of them. Pretty cool!

It was nice seeing Baldwinville & his friend Dan who was a new victim (Welcome to blunderland) & Petie & Martha, ADG & Abe, Sarah, Johnny, baby Oliva, Gordon, Michael, everyone else we saw. It was a great 2 days. We'll do it again next time Arlo comes to VA, MD (won't be going to Annapolis tho), NC DC, etc. We tried to find Momdog but couldn't. Sorry we missed ya! It's been fun these past 2 days. Now back to life as usual... <img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/peace.gif" width=16 height=16>

It is a 20 minute song that touches on everything from the the Vietnam War, to a church and of course a restaurant.
Gutherie says he hasn't performed it in nearly five years and tonight will probably be no different.

Joining him on stage were his son and daughter.
He continues a family tradition that began with his legendary father Woody Guthrie several decades ago.

[IN Q=It reminds you of]
((ARLO GUTHRIE/MUSICIAN: IT REMINDS YOU OF THE TOUGH TIMES YOU HAD, THE GOOD TIMES YOU HAD AND LUCKILY FOR ME SOME OF MY SONGS WERE WELL KNOWN SOME YEARS AGO SO THAT IT'S BECOME PART OF THE SOUNDTRACK SOME PEOPLE LIVES AND I THINK THAT'S WHY THEY JUST KEEP COMING BACK.))

One song fans did not hear tonight was his best known, Alice's Restaurant.
Guthrie hasn't performed it in years because he says it is outdated and at more than twenty minutes is too long.

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE,

Having now found some pants that still fit I can now start my day. Not that I want to, it's 9:40 AM and it's only just getting light, it's wet and cold too.

Good morning, all. It's actually a balmy day here in central PA. Michael's home sick, yet again, otherwise a very nice day.
