Hello to everyone--it's a wonderful day, even though it's cloudy and drippy--it's GRAMMA day! I saw Olivia this morning and she is doing just wonderfully well. The little knee I first made friends with in the hospital is now getting dimples in it!

Our niece Ava & her hubby are here visiting us this week from Columbus, OH. They won't be going to the Birchmere with us but will stay at our house & rest up. We already took Ava to a few gigs in the past as a victim LOL! So we just old here how the weather is back in Ohio. bet they are glad they are here in VA...

Columbus Ohio. They named the place after a guy that took a boat and went looking for a shortcut to the far east and found what is now the USA.Of course Columbus Ohio is 1000 miles from the nearest ocean, so we know he didn't visit there, but they named it after him anyway. Yup, sounds like a good place for blunderites!

Greetings from Econolodge in Arlington VA. I almost wrote Arloington LOL! Yeah Arlo said he saw some neat stuff from it in the sky in Mass.

We had a awesome time both nites at the Birchmere. Sue was there both nites with her hubby there the first nite & her daughter there the 2nd with a friend & Agnes & Don & Petie & Martha were there both nites. The Wizard made it to the 2nd nites show. Some of us like Mike & I will blunder on to Staunton & Roanoke while others will blunder on to Annapolis & Dover. It was great seeing everyone. <img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/smile.gif" width=15 height=15>

Gordon Titcombs pedal steel & mandoolin playing added something neat to the show & he will be with AG for the next yr or yr & 1/2. Sarah & Johnny were great too & the baby is so cute at 15 months old! & ADG looks really hot. & They did a kick sa** version of COMING INTO LA which rocked or rather folked. Both nites shows were excellent. He did most of the same songs both nites except he did St Louis Tickle & Elvis I Can't Help Falling In Love With You the first nite but didn't do those the 2nd nite & did something the 2nd nite that he didn't do the first nite.

& Nora was there. Look for in the future an unreleased concert show of Woodys, the only one ever recorded on tape to be released on record. And AG is an excellent dulcimer player! Flipping dials on the radio on the way back to the motel I found THE NITE THEY DROVE OLD DIXIE DOWN by Joan Baez on a cool oldies station. That & some Beatles songs with old memories were the perfect ending to a blunderful day. Mash is on... the cable sucks hefre. He can only get certain channels & no Tvland...

Fri on the way back home is a stop off at the POTOMAC MILLS outlet mall & the mall in Fredericksburg & eating out. Maybe at the 50's diner. We've had an excellent time! Thanks Arlo & blunderites! <img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/smile.gif" width=15 height=15>

hiya all and to all a good morning.

and a good morning it is. i am finally, <u>finally</u> up and leaving woodstock for good -- god willing and the creek don't rise, of course, but its looking like it's really going to happen for me this time.

with a little luck, i'll be dropping by great barrington early next week on my way to points elsewhere. the idea is to visit with friends along the way, hole up somewhere for the winter while i work up a current resume and send it out to potential employers, then find myself someplace in this world where (a) i can earn a living, and (b) a gangster mentality isn't considered de rigeur.

hey, i can't help it. nothing in my life prepared me for being a gangster, i don't plot and/or scheme my way through life, and i'm a miserable failure at hating for the sake of hating -- so i'll simply never fit in around this town. i've got this itty bitty window of opportunity, and i'm 'a takin' it. instead of paying rent this month, i bought me a van: the oldest van still on the road (it looks like it, anyway), but it runs, and hopefully it will continue running long enough to get me where i need to go.

so wish me luck. next time i return to this forum i oughta be a lot lighter in mood and tone and all that good stuff.

thanks for all your kindnessess over the years -- and i'm really sorry i missed todd's memorial. i would have liked to go, but of course, wouldn't have been able to walk that far in the first place. sigh.

* It's funny to see the leaves still yet, for the most part on the trees. We're bound to get a good, & wet storm, that will put an end to all of that. Not complaining, but I've never liked that next day barren look. But seeing we're living in a time machine, I guess I learn to enjoy, whatever the weatherman brings....
