Ok, for those who have been wondering where the heck I've been... well, lets just say that there's been a lot going on recently. On September 15th, Tammy gave me some of the best news I've ever gotten. I'm gonna be a real and offical daddy... so, we've got a new blunderite on the way - due sometime in the beginning of May 2004! We had a brief scare after the first few weeks, but all is going along fine - and on November 5th, we'll most likely get to hear the first baby's heartbeat - and get scheduled for the ultrasound (which I hope is the same day). As on our last doctor's office visit, he said he wanted to wait until the next visit before listening for anything or scheduling the ultrasound... ugh! And those who know me know how impatient I can be... especially with something so awesome.

Well, just wanted to share the good news with everyone - and give you all a heads up as to where I'll be and what I'll be doing come the beginning of May (ugh, my first experience with diapers, lol).

And for those who haven't met Tammy - well, she's made 2 shows so far, and with any luck you'll get a chance to meet her somewhere along the line. We even got to bring Samantha with us to her first show last weekend... at the church no less... not sure how thrilled she was with the show or Arlo, but she enjoyed playing with the girl across the street, lol! Guess I've still got more work to do... But then again, that may be hard, since Arlo isn't exctly any where near the Backstreet Boys... <img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/smile.gif" width=15 height=15>

Oh yeah, almost forgot - there is a possibility of it being twins (a fairly decent one from what I understand)...

Any volunteers for babysitting duty?! :D

Congratulations and best wishes to you and Tammy and big sister Samantha!

Nope... been there done that... my twins are now thirty years old and have contributed four of my five grandkids.

First thing you learn as a parent of twins: when one wakes up in the middle of the night needing a feeding or a dry bottom...you wake the other up and take care of both, otherwise they tag-team you!

Again...congrats! Babies are the happiest of news!

Since I adopted Dave as my little brother years ago, I think this means that I'm going to be a Bluncle! <img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/biggrin.gif" width=15 height=15>

congrats again, dave! i don't know about regular babysitting, but i'm pretty sure if you show up at a show with one or two babies, you'll find some willing blunderites that want to hold them for a bit. <img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/smile.gif" width=15 height=15>

Wow.....

As your wife....since we are not YET divorced.....you know, your wife that you talked about having kids with days before you told her you were having an affair......the wife you were supposedly trying to reconcile with from January until right after Easter, when she found out that you were still living with another woman the whole time you were telling her you loved her, missed her, and wanted to make everything better again......the wife you made a cutesy little homemade Valentine for saying how sorry you were for all the pain you had caused her, knowing the whole time you were lying to her about having stopped the affair........

let me just say you are absolutely unbelievable.....

thanks sherry!

kim, I echo sherry's sentiments, and apologize if my earlier post caused any pain.

as usual, I was pretty much in the dark about these life events that have occurred between dave and yourself. I merely assumed that a divorce had already occurred... stupid me to assume...

Based on what I now know, I have to say that dave could have handled this better, and probably should have not posted this information at all, since now you've made all who view this, unsuspecting witnesses to your dissolving relationship with kim. We certainly shouldn't be used this way, and kim (as would anyone) deserves to be treated with better respect.

i'm always upset and saddened when I hear of two friends who go through this process of separation. Marriage and permanent relationships are such a fragile and endangered species these days...

Sherry, thank you so much, as I didn't want to be the "first" to post after Kim.

Kim, I've wanted to respond and probably will email you, as what I need to say is best kept private. But rest assured, I was stunned by what I read and can sympathise with you, more than you know.

I agree with Arnie and Sherry that Dave behaved improperly in both hurting you the way he did, and by making a very public announcement to those who read these boards.

Terrie

Ya'll expressed things so very well & I have to agree with ya'll. I too had assumed they had gotten divorced & was sorry to hear about that. So sorry this happened this way. I think it's bad to cheat on a wife & agree things weren't handled right in telling folks about it. I had thought they would be together forever. It's amazing the couples you think will be together forever aren't. Just hope things work out well for ya'll. <img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/peace.gif" width=16 height=16>

Ok, I'm hesitant about posting this in this forum, but since it started here, I would like to finish it here.

Most of you know that for the most part, I'm a pretty private person - and usually try to keep my private life to myself. But this was big news. I was and am excited, and I wanted to share.

I'm not going to get into petty name calling or arguing on here about what went on and what didn't. It's not worth the time or the effort. And as a result, this will be my last post on this topic.

I just want to say that those of you who do consider me your friend, and who do love me, all I ask for is that you don't jump to any conclusions as to what did and did not occur, and I ask, does it really matter?

I just had good news, am very happy about it, and wanted to share it with you all...

For those wondering, Kim and I tried to work on things, it didn't work out. Plain and simple.

BTW, this was good news for both Tammy and myself... and if anything, what seems inappropriate to me is her posting on this topic and ruining it.

You know I consider many of you extended family (and a really weird one at that)... and I hope that none of this will lead you all to even thinking badly about Tammy or her duaghter Samantha. Especially since she has just started meeting many of you - and I hope that both her and Samantha will continue to be welcomed into this extended family. We're a package deal now you know... <img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/smile.gif" width=15 height=15>

One last thing, just so you all know... I *WANTED* to be divorced before all this happened. And had even offered to do anything I could to speed things up. But was told there was no way that could be done until after a year was up.

What happened happened, it was talked about, and planned. And Tammy, Samantha, and myself are very happy about it.
