the good...

spent an excellent (and very well timed) week down in florida with my folks. nothin' but sun and warmth. sittin' by the pool, laughing merrily at all the snow we were missing up north! whoohoo! Nice to spend the time with my folks, dad was movin' around good, and eatin' up a storm (don't think he really tastes anything anymore, but he just enjoys the eatin' part!)... It was sad to leave them (as usual) and come back to the land of frost... I haven't had much time to read thru the boards, but I see arlo has been visiting, and blundervibes are working out west...

the bad...
mom just called and said dad is back in the cardiac ICU. Seems he couldn't breathe well, and evidently was having congestive heart failure. They're pokin' and proddin' him again, his liver, his blood counts (which as a leukemia patient are barely good on a normal day), etc... Just doesn't sound good. He's been to this well a couple of times in the past few years now, so on one hand, it seems routine (but still scarey), but on the other.... who knows?...
so if you don't mind, i'm collectin' some good thoughts to spend the rest of this icky winter warmin' themselves with my dad!
We'll know more by tomorrow night i hope.
thanks all! like I always say, you folks are weird!!! (but blunderful!)

oh yeah, the ugly??

Nathen, of course!

Copious quantities of Blundervibes heading to Florida and Arnie's Dad... although it's a good excuse to head south again, I sincerely hope it won't be necessary!

Sending Blundervibes from SC to FL for Arnies mom and dad. That's not too far, maybe they'll get there quicker. How fast do Blundervibes travel anyway? At the speed of light I hope.

Your dad has our blundervibes Arnie. I know you've been down there before for this. Hope this turns out to be not as big a thing and that he's back home soon.

Arnie, lots of Blundervibes are headed to Florida. I'd rather take them in person, but they'll get there faster this way. Some are headed to you, too. It's hard to be away when someone you love is ill. I'm glad you've got recent warm memories of Dad-time.

It's hard to come up with words sometimes! Just know my thoughts are with you Arnie. You only have one Dad. He's lucky to have you, to think of him the way you do.

And I guess yur lucky to have us. (Maybe that's where the wierdness comes in)??? Who knows. Great vibes headed to Fla.

Blundervibes going out to you, Arnie, and your mom and dad in Fla. Good that you had some time down there with them.

Best wishes for your Dad Arnie. And remember, if he can handle you as a son, he can handle anything! (I provide the same service for my folks by the way.)<img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/smile.gif" width=15 height=15>
