i saw that movie (the sun ra one) a couple years or so ago...pretty interesting as i recall!

an interesting take on some interesting times i suppose.

Undaunted by the debate over the name of the strange prejudiced (although it may have been the times) man with the funny hat I press on with my meaningless inquiries into the words of the ancients…..doodoodoodoodoodoodoodoo (strange electronic sound fades into the distance)…..

It seems that without mystery there may be a clear path to the truth. If there was a clear path to the truth, well, then there would be nothing to fight about?

it was an interesting movie, maybe even a tad abstract...and is not without hokiness!
a sort of sci fi, kind of biblical type themed (?) movie of sorts?

I didn't say that, but there is a difference between prejudice and prejudiced...

It seems he is racist because he says "no white people" and that is the point, if I new the way, I would lead you where ever you want to go, home is just a metaphor for a place of peace....today, it seems, a place of peace is the last thing on many a human's mind.

It is one of those ripple things I suppose.

i know you didn't say anything about the prejudice(d) thing, i was talking to heraclitis wanting to understand how he meant it...and he 'splains over there...be right back

yes he does say "no white people"...my take is that he is acknowledging racial tensions and issues at the time (and from his point of view?), but he does say at the end of the clip "better yet, transport the whole planet...by music" something like that. it is a movie, an interesting one i thought, even though i knew very little about sun ra at the time, and wouldn't call myself an expert on him even now (i am aware of the being from saturn thing), but some of his music sounded pretty cool to me.
i came in one day and turned on the radio and it sounded like chaos, and i wondered who is that? i felt like my brain was tied in knots and the sound seemed to clear away that feeling?...they were only playing snippets, and finally did say his name and mentioned space is the place and i checked out a clip on you tube and i am like, "what in the world?" and rented the movie, and there you have it. about that

I like his music and have for some time but, hell, everybody knows I am not from this planet. skin color or not!

Hmm...I think I'm there...uh...and I call it home...

me too. but even an 18 foot wall and no cell phone or internet hook up will keep the helicopters out
