Of course he did......and that's perhaps why so many people support him. People grew weary of Bush's divide and conquer tactics. Obama is pushin' UNITY!!!

it was a first for a president to mention Atheism as a valid creed.... that is historical! I mean, Deism has always been somewhat acceptable as the ugly brother of agnosticism (probably the predominant form of "faith" in America)...but actually grouping non believers with Muslims, Christians and Jews.....WOW...now that is inclusive....and right on the tail of the Rove Theocracy...DOUBLE WOW!!!

I watched too (German TV had it live) with goosebumps and tears in my eyes, and he is not my president, I live thousands of miles away, but still it was awesome. I saw all these people standing in the cold waiting for hours (2 millions? is that right?) and it reminded me of the picture I had seen when MLK did his "I have a dream" speech.
I wish we had somebody over here like Obama I could vote for fullheartedly, over here I elect the party I think is the lesser evil.

I watched it when I was home on my lunch hour, smiling, tears in my eyes. I stood when Obama took the oath of office, even though I was home alone and not at the mall. I stood for the national anthem, too.

We are so lucky and fortunate to be able to be part of this historic time. There were a number of places we could watch where I work.

It's analogos to economic supply/demand theory: A greater supply of inclusiveness results in a greater demand for unification.

I was doing my favorite thing when Obama took over, sleeping. We may have a man now who will listen when the people demand we get our fair share. Lets find things that Unite US, and put down the stones even the Lamb would not throw.

What an incredible day! All of it was amazing and I thought his speech was right on for the times. The world can finely see us in a new light. I made my sons teacher promise that they would see most of it or he was out of there!
